New Starts
Laura Rau-Morillo has taken a new job as director at Navigant. Rau-Morillo was previously vice president of the global compliance office at MoneyGram International in Dallas. She had been in that job for nearly five years.
Western Union has named Andrea Gonzalez a compliance officer for its Mexico operations. Gonzales previously was a sub-director of compliance at Metro Financiera.
Solomon Abiakalam has been named head of financial crime compliance for Standard Chartered in Nigeria and West Africa. Abiakalam was previously HSBC’s director of compliance for sub-Saharan Africa.
Bryn Mawr Bancorp in Pennsylvania has hired Denise Rinear as chief risk officer. She previously was chief compliance officer at J.G. Wentworth, those guys who advertise on TV when it’s your money and you need it now!
Kristi Stephens has been promoted at pharmaceutical company Lannett Co. to be chief compliance officer and head of regulatory affairs. She previously was head of regulatory affairs.
Marie Blake has set sail from Miami-based Bank United, where she had been chief compliance officer since 2013, to be chief risk and compliance officer at Holiday Inn Club Vacations.
Deutsche Telekom has created a special panel to investigate its corporate culture, and the Conference Board’s Matteo Tonello has been named to it. Tonello is head of TCB’s corporate leadership practice, and is no slouch on matters of corporate governance and risk management.
Gary Del Vecchio has begun a new job as head of healthcare compliance for cardiovascular and metabolism at Johnson & Johnson. He was last seen at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he had been executive director of U.S. pharmaceuticals compliance & ethics.
Chemonics International has named Richard De la Cruz director of business conduct for its office in Afghanistan. (And you thought your job was challenging.) De la Cruz previously was a compliance officer at Tetra Tech, a USAID-sponsored project in Afghanistan.
The Brazilian construction firm Braskem has named Everson Zaczuk Bassinello director of corporate compliance. Bassinello was previously compliance officer at Fibria for two years.
Mark Milne has taken a job as director of IT audit at Nu Skin Enterprises in Utah. Milne had been a program director for risk and compliance at American Express, and senior director of audit and compliance at GoDaddy.com before that.
Kubota Tractor Corp. in Dallas has named Brent Chisholm head of IT controls. Chisholm had previously worked at Lennox International for nine years, first as a senior IT auditor and then for eight years as IT audit manager.
ADTRAN, a networking software company that publishes its name IN ALL CAPS, has added Jackie Hourigan Rice to its board of directors. Hourigan Rice has been chief risk and compliance officer at Target for 20 months, and before that worked at General Motors.
Walmart has named Diana Carmina Contreras Guillen a lead case manager for ethics at Walmart Mexico. Guillen had been a compliance anti-corruption analyst at Walmart for the two years prior.
Joseph D’Agostino is the new director of IT security, risk, and compliance at Spectrum Health, a large healthcare organization in Dallas. D’Agostino had previously held similar IT security and compliance jobs at Dean Foods.

Stephen Young is celebrating one year as chief compliance officer at Calumet Specialty Products.
Ayman Al-Atrash has hit one year as regional financial controller for DB Schenker in its Mideast offices.
Fernando Gamiz is celebrating one year at GSK in Argentina as a lead investigator for anti-bribery and corruption investigations.
Brad Boroff has hit his one-year anniversary as manager of information security at L Brands.
At pharmaceutical company Indivior, Michael Clarke has hit one year as vice president of corporate compliance.
Wassel Fakhoury has reached one year as general counsel and chief compliance officer of a business in the United Arab Emirates only identified as “confidential and undisclosed.” He previously was general counsel at Arabtec Holding, but left that job as part of a larger restructuring at the troubled firm in 2015. Here’s hoping Fakhoury emails us and discloses where he works now.
In Atlanta, Randy Earley just hit five years as vice president of audit services at Cox Enterprises.
Audley Bell is celebrating five years as chief audit executive at World Vision International in New York.
Alexy Kolotvin, based in Moscow, has reached five years as compliance director for the CIS region at Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
