Calling in from Canada, Kristine Robidoux has taken a new job as compliance and regulatory counsel for Gran Tierra Energy in Calgary, Alberta. Robidoux previously spent eight years at the Gowling WLG law firm. We will send her a Radical Compliance wool hat.

Becki Sweeney has been promoted at PETCO. Sweeney is now regulatory compliance supervisor; she had been a senior regulatory compliance analyst at the company since 2011.

Compliance jobsConcert Genetics has named Christopher Campbell chief information security officer. Campbell previously had been a consultant with Agio, heading up their cybersecurity compliance practice.

DHL Supply Chain has promoted Stuart Sumner to regional chief compliance officer for Britain and EMEA. Sumner has been with DHL in various roles since 1996—proving that the company man still exists!

The Financial Accounting Standards Board has named two people to its Emerging Issues Task Force: Kimber Bascom, head of the accounting standards group at KPMG; and Lawrence Dodyk, an assurance partner in PwC’s national professional services group.


Congratulations to Giulio Girardi, economist at the SEC’s Division of Economic and Risk Analysis. Girardi just won the Graham and Dodd Top Award, given every year by the CFA Institute’s Financial Analyst Journal for outstanding work. His paper, “Interconnectedness in the CDS Market,” examines assess the stability of the credit default swap market and potential contagion among market participants.

Joseph Spiegler is celebrating one year as global head of compliance at Uber.

Neely O’Donnell just hit 10 years at Biogen. She is currently associate director for governance, risk, and compliance.

Nike is looking for a compliance officer at its headquarters in Oregon. In fact, last time we checked, Nike had a few jobs open related to audit and risk management, too.

Logitech, maker of those super-cool computer mouses and keyboards, is recruiting a manager of trade compliance for its offices in California. According to the job description, the ideal will (naturally) move fast, speak up, decide, and drive change.

And for any recruiters out there, I’m aware of a technology sales executive in Silicon Valley with deep experience in compliance and privacy, looking for work. Holds an EU passport.
