MiraMed, a software company based in Jackson, Mich., that sells revenue management software to healthcare companies, has hired Stephanie Griffin as chief compliance officer. Griffin is both a lawyer and a registered nurse, which probably comes in handy at some depositions, and previously worked at Concerto Health as chief compliance officer.
Peter Singer has been named chief compliance officer at GIACT Systems, a maker of software for payment fraud detection. Singer comes to the Dallas company from RealPage, where he was chief compliance officer and headed up the anti-money laundering program.
In Atlanta, Triad Advisors has named Bernie Breton chief compliance officer. Triad is a broker-dealer firm; Breton comes to the firm from Cetera Advisors, where he was also chief compliance officer.
Puma, the German maker of athletic footwear and apparel, has named Raliza Kovela as chief compliance officer. Kovela has been working in Puma’s legal department since 2014.
Down in Lima, Peru, the construction firm Graña y Montero has hired Fernando Dyer as chief risk and compliance officer. Dyer had been an independent compliance consulting out of Geneva for the last few years, and earlier in his career he worked at Japan Tobacco, DHL, and elsewhere.
Jonathan Gallimore just left his job at HSBC as financial crime and compliance investigations officer to take a role as “dangerous goods transportation manager” at Amazon.com. He’ll be working out of Amazon’s Tokyo offices.
Christine Hogan-Newgren has joined Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kans., as chief compliance officer. She comes to Stormont from University of Colorado Health, where she was chief compliance officer and chief audit executive.
LCR Services has tapped Sacha Scwab as senior compliance manager. Schwab comes to LCR from Zurich Insurance Co., where he worked in the group compliance function.
Cecilia Carmona has begun work as chief compliance officer of BNP Paribas. She previously worked as head of Latin America compliance for Duetsche Bank.
Dentsply Sirona has promoted Augusta Speiser senior compliance and ethics manager and data protection officer. Speiser has been with Dentsply, a medical device company, since 2010.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island has promoted Linda Winfrey, from managing director of internal audit and risk management to vice president of both functions.
Indrani Franchini has been named chief compliance officer at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, in New Haven, Conn. Franchini comes to Alexion from Hess Corp., where she had been chief compliance officer.
In San Diego, LPL Financial has promoted Michelle Oroschakoff from chief risk officer to chief legal officer. Oroschakoff came to LPL in 2013 from Morgan Stanley, where she had been global chief risk officer for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
Vendors & Service Providers
Berkeley Research Group, a compliance consulting firm that actually is based in Emeryville, Calif., has named Janice Jacobs managing director in its healthcare compliance practice.
BDO has added Mark Antalik to its forensics technology practice. Antalik will work from BDO’s Boston offices.
Milestones
Ed Berg is celebrating one year as vice president of legal for Sandoz’s biopharma business.
Over in Brussels, Rodrigo Cunha is celebrating 10 years at AmBev. Cunha is currently global compliance director, and in the past has handled antitrust and employment issues for the beer maker.
And Sharon McIntosh just hit 20 years as ethics & compliance manager for Hewlett-Packard. Way to go!
Open Req Orders
Foremost, as noted yesterday, the Justice Department is looking to hire a compliance counsel to work in the Fraud Section. The department wants someone with experience in the corporate realm, so this could be a compliance officer’s big chance for public service.
National Commercial Vehicle Co. is recruiting a compliance and ethics director. Conselium Search is handing the placement.
