Caroline Louveaux has been named chief privacy officer for Mastercard. Louveaux has worked at Mastercard for more than 10 years, most recently running regional privacy and data protection programs internationally. Her new post is based in Brussels, so we presume she has a “Bring it, GDPR!” bumper sticker on her car.

Ruro, a maker of lab information systems with the motto “laboratory information bliss,” has hired Stephen Ferrell as its chief compliance officer. Ferrell previously worked for ByteGrid as vice president of product strategy.

Scott Hodes has joined Twitter as associate general counsel and director for privacy. Prior to his current position, Hodes spent three as a deputy general counsel for privacy and product at AdRoll.

Falcon Wealth Planning, an asset management firm in southern California “taking strides to become the $1 billion firm it wants to be” has promoted Rachel Vonbank from director of operations to chief compliance officer. This might be the giddiest press release announcing a CCO promotion we’ve seen all year.

compliance jobsGenesis Mining, a Hong Kong firm that provides cloud mining services for the bitcoin addicts of the world, has named Shah Hafizi chief compliance officer and Americas general counsel. Hafizi previously worked as chief compliance officer at BlackRock for technology and digital ventures.

UK Sport just hired Shivani Patel as its governance manager. Patel comes to UK Sport from United Builders Ltd., where she was corporate and legal affairs manager.

Marta Martini has been named vice president and senior compliance officer for Credit Suisse in Zurich. Martini previously worked for General Electric in compliance roles at GE Oil & Gas since 2011.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. has named Roland Chai chief risk officer, overseeing enterprise risk management. Chai joined HKEX last year as chief operating officer of clearing and head of clearing risk solutions.

In regulator world, Paul Leder is leaving the Securities and Exchange Commission in June. Leder had served as the director of the Office of International Affairs since 2014. No word yet on his replacement at the agency, nor where Leder might go next — although before Leder joined the SEC, he hung his shingle at the law firm Richards Kibbe & Orbe.

And the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has announced that general counsel Gordon Seymour is leaving the organization after 15 years. Seymour had worked at PCAOB since its inception in 2003, and has been general counsel since 2007.

Milestones

Lily Luo is celebrating five years with CIT, where she has worked in various compliance roles in China and the U.S. Luo currently is CIT’s director of compliance testing.

Vendors & Service Providers

Lewis Zirogiannis is leaving his job as chief compliance officer for GE Digital, to join law firm Reed Smith as a partner for its global regulatory enforcement practice. Zirogiannis worked in various compliance roles at GE since 2012.

Merger alert! CultureIQ has acquired CEB Workforce Surveys & Analytics from Gartner, and will consolidate it into CultureIQ’s operations. Gartner acquired all of CEB last year. ParkerGale Capital coughed up the cash for CultureIQ to do the deal.

Open Req Orders

Word is that Wells Fargo wants to hire six senior ethics consultants as it tries to atone for its past misconduct. Good news is you’d report into Jeremy Wilson, chief ethics officer at Wells, who is a thoughtful and dedicated mind in this field.

Nielsen Holdings is looking for a director of compliance and integrity. Job is in Connecticut.

Sodexo is recruiting a group internal auditor. Job is in Maryland.
