Compliance Jobs News
First, I missed this until now, but the Dallas Mavericks have hired a new chief ethics and compliance officer: Cynthia Wales, who started earlier this spring. Wales previously spent more than 10 years at AT&T in various senior HR roles. You may recall the Mavericks were in lots of hot water earlier this year after a damning expose in Sports Illustrated. We look forward to Wales being the hottest ticket on the compliance speaking circuit in 2019.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has expanded the duties of Paul Cellupica, who will now be chief counsel in the Division of Investment Management; Cellupica had already been deputy director of the division since last November. Prior to returning to the SEC (Cellupica had worked there in the 1990s and early 2000s), he had been general counsel at TIAA-CREF.
The New York State Department of Health has promoted Diane Christensen from director of audit services to deputy director of administration. She had been head of audit there since 2013.

And ProctorU, a tech company selling identity management software for online testing and certifications (there’s a niche for everything these days…) has named Pamela Fetterolf chief compliance officer in Birmingham, Ala.
