Compliance Jobs Report: Nov. 2

The Jobs Report this week has compliance officer moves in several European companies, including a new CCO at SBM Offshore. We also have hires in pharma and higher education here in the Untied States; Amazon hiring some compliance jobs; and our Compliance Meme of Week.

I gather these bits of information from LinkedIn, news alerts, and friends emailing me something to include. If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn. This report depends on people like you helping me, so send some news! Read on…

Compliance Jobs News

We begin in Sweden, where Michaela Ahlberg is now chief ethics and compliance officer for medical technology firm Getinge. Ahlberg previously headed ethics and compliance at TeliaSonera from 2013 to 2017, and spent the last year as an independent compliance and anti-bribery corruption consultant. Ahlberg is also one of the most charming compliance officers in Europe.

Oil and gas company SBM Offshore has named Bianca Bernecker as its group compliance officer based in Amsterdam. Bernecker previously was global business ethics and compliance officer for the (now split up) Dutch logistics firm TNT.

Jack Lehman has taken a new job as vice president of internal audit for Envestnet, an analytics firm for wealth management based in Denver. Lehman leaves Remax, where he also was vice president of internal audit.

Sweden again! Goran Petrovic-Kosovic has joined SAP in Stockholm as compliance officer for technology solutions. Petrovic-Kosovic previously was senior due diligence officer for telecom giant Telia.

OK, now Denmark: Thomas Boegballe is the new group director and head of internal audit for consulting engineering firm Ramboll in Copenhagen. Boegballe previously was the forensic manager for biotech company Novozymes, also in Copenhagen.

Seattle fintech company POSaBIT has named Laurie Rosini chief compliance officer. Rosini was a principal with Ketsal Consulting and partner with the affiliated law firm Blakemore Fallon.

In Chicago, David Styler has been named chief compliance officer for Horizon Pharma. Styler had previously been chief compliance officer at Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA since 2012.

CIB Bank in Budapest has promoted Annamaria Nadai from compliance analyst to compliance officer. Nadai joined the bank in 2017.

Dallas-based rail transportation company Trinity Industries announced a slew of executive appointments, including a new job for Theis Rice. Rice, formerly chief legal officer, is now senior vice president and chief compliance officer. Sarah Teachout, formerly vice president and deputy general counsel, replaces Rice as chief legal officer.

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board made it official and named Liza McAndrew Moberg director of the PCAOB’s Office of International Affairs. Moberg, who joined PCAOB in 2013, had been acting director of the office since May.

And as we noted earlier this week, Michigan State University has promoted Marilyn Tarrant to a new Office of Audit, Risk, and Compliance.

Other Gossip

Stephen Haddrill, chief executive of Britain’s Financial Reporting Council, is reportedly planning to leave the agency by the end of the year. The FRC is Britain’s audit regulator, and  continues to deal with fallout from public failures and questions from British lawmakers over its effectiveness.

Milestones

Virginia MacSuibhne is celebrating one year as chief compliance officer with Roche Molecular Solutions in the San Francisco area.

Bob Bisal is celebrating five years as chief compliance officer with Chicago-area environmental firm Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Corp.

Vendors & Service Providers

GAN Integrity has released an upgrade of its GAN Connect product, which now includes six modules to combine compliance functions. Disclosure: GAN pays me to write occasional compliance industry commentary. Additional disclosure: those posts are just as awesome as mine here.

Open Req Orders

Amazon.com has two compliance jobs to fill: a senior corporate compliance counsel role based in Dubai; and a China compliance counsel role based in Beijing.

Deutsche Bank is looking for a vice president of client onboarding. Alas, the job is based in Jacksonville, Fla., not Frankfurt.

Oregon State University is looking for a director of compliance. Job is based in Corvallis, Oreg. Must love Benny Beaver.
