Remember Jackie Rice, chief risk and compliance officer at Target in the mid-2010s? She was just named general counsel at Herman Miller, the furniture company. Rice left Target in 2017 and had been working as a consultant at the Hawksbill Group lately.

We missed this until now, but Greenlight Capital, the hedge fund founded by Wall Street player David Einhorn, recently named Steven Rosen chief compliance officer. Rosen arrived at Greenlight late last year, after four years as chief compliance officer at Citadel Investment Group.

Charlie Wright, a long-time audit executive in Oklahoma, just turned up as chief risk officer for Jack Henry & Associates, a financial technology firm based in Missouri (which is next to Oklahoma). Wright previously worked as an audit and risk consultant, and earlier in his career was head of internal audit for Devon Energy.

Management consulting firm Booz Allen has picked up Erik Fagely as senior associate and ethics & compliance lead. Booz swiped Allen from Bose Corp., where he had been a global ethics & compliance analyst since 2016.

In Seattle, Joel Mark has been named senior manager for ethics and compliance at Tableau, the data visualization software firm. Mark comes to Tableau from Amazon, where he had been a business conduct and ethics specialist since 2016.

Norwegian financial firm DNB has promoted Cecile Lille to head of operational risk in the firm’s risk management group. Lille has been with DNB for one year, and previously worked as a business integrity adviser for Aker Solutions.

Martin Searle has a new job as director of regulatory compliance management and policy at insurance firm Sun Life Financial, based in Toronto. Searle comes to Sun Life from BMO Financial Group, where he was a senior manager for corporate compliance.

Parkridge Health System, which runs several hospitals in Chattanooga, Tenn., has hired John Baldwin as co-ethics and compliance officer. Baldwin comes to Parkridge from TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, a nearby Tennessee hospital.

In Minnesota, Deluxe Corp. has promoted Kortney Nordrum to regulatory and compliance counsel. Nordrum has been with Deluxe since 2017 as a risk consultant, and some folks may remember her prior to that as a project manager for the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.

Chemical Bank, a subsidiary of Chemical Financial based in Michigan, has named Daniel Walker chief audit executive. Before coming to Chemical, Walker was vice president and assurance leader at American Express in New York.

Riverview Bank, a community bank in Pennsylvania, has promoted Karen Wriglesworth to chief compliance officer and Richard Ogden to chief risk officer. Both have been employees at Riverview for many years.

Forum Energy Technologies, an oilfield services business based in Houston, has announced a general counsel succession plan that will see current general counsel James McCulloch move into the role of chief compliance officer, while deputy general counsel John Ivascu moves into the GC slot. No word on how long McCulloch will stay as CCO and adviser to Ivascu.

Milestones

Lisa Kuca is celebrating one year as senior vice president for operations risk at Wells Fargo.

Julie Basha is celebrating one year at Fresenius Healthcare, where she is a corporate compliance attorney.

Melissa Ince just hit 10 years at Abbott Labs. She’s been director of global transparency reporting there since 2013.

Linda Hall is leaving the board of Amedisys, one of the country’s largest providers of home health and hospice care services. Hall chaired the board’s compliance and ethics committee since that committee was chartered in 2013, and helped the company navigate a five-year corporate integrity agreement with federal healthcare authorities.

Vendors and Service Providers

Core Compliance & Legal Services, a California-based compliance consulting firm, has named Manoj “Tito” Pombra its new president. Pombra comes to the firm from Matthews International Capital Management, where he was chief compliance officer.

Convercent has just launched its compliance software products on the Microsoft Azure platform, to expand its offerings for GDPR compliance other regulatory issues.

Medical device people: Matt Wetzel, previously deputy general counsel for your trade group AdvaMed, has joined law firm Akin Gump as senior counsel. Prior to AdvaMed, Wetzel worked at Boston Scientific as senior compliance & ethics counsel.

And in London, Jonathan Chibafa left his job as business integrity counsel for Tesco to be director in the anti-bribery and corruption practice at Exiger.

Open Req Orders

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority is seeking a chief ethics officer, salary range $176,000 to $264,000. Must like riding mass transit, which rules out pretty much everyone actually living in Los Angeles.

Denver Water Co. is seeking a chief internal auditor. Must like drinking water.

And La-Z-Boy is seeking a director of corporate compliance. Must like sitting.
