Compliance Jobs Report: Feb. 28
The Compliance Jobs Report this week has a bunch of promotions, plus new hires at Medtronic, Versant Health, and IntSights. Two lawyers have left the grind to start a boutique compliance firm; plus job openings in pharma, tech, and environmental services. Our meme of the week goes out to all the audit committees!
I gather these bits of information from LinkedIn, news alerts, and friends emailing me something to include. Send us your news any time! Email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn. This report depends on people’ like you helping me, so send some news! Read on…
Compliance Jobs News
Agatha Deignan has been promoted at Abbott, from compliance director to director of investigations and compliance enhancements. Based in Chicago, Deignan has been with Abbott for 13 years.
In Philadelphia, Carey Galvin has been promoted to global head of quality and compliance at Ashfield, a subsidiary of UDG Healthcare. Galvin had previously been senior VP of quality and compliance.
Pella Corp., a building materials firm headquartered in Iowa, has promoted Kayla Flanders to senior manager of corporate accounting. Flanders has been with Pella in various audit and finance roles since 2015, and prior to that was a senior audit manager at Wells Fargo.
Medtronic has hired Annamaria Nadai as a compliance specialist for Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. Nadai comes to Medtronic from CIB Bank in Hungary, where she had been compliance officer.
Versant Health, a national managed eye health and vision plan company based in Baltimore, has named Lula Richards chief compliance officer. Richards joins Versant Health from Bank of America, where she served as senior vice president of business control.
Chris Strand has joined cybersecurity firm IntSights as chief compliance officer, to oversee the firm’s cyber-compliance program. Strand comes to IntSights from Carbon Black, where he led the cyber-compliance business there. Carbon Black was later acquired by VMWare.
CIBC (known more stuffily as the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) has promoted Shawn Berber to chief risk officer and Heather Kaine as chief auditor. Kaine has been at CIBC for more than five years and previously was global controller. Berber succeeds Laura Dottori-Attanasio, who has moved to run CIBC’s personal and business banking. Both promotions were part of an executive reshuffle and cost-cutting, so I’m not sure how thrilling this news is.
And at National Australia Bank in Melbourne, Lou Chadjilazarou is now head of control delivery “and EPSS” although I’m not sure what EPSS means. Chadjilazarou joined NAB five months ago and had been running third-party risk management.
