Compliance Jobs Report: Aug. 21

The Compliance Jobs Report this week has a new compliance lead at YouTube; other new hires at Stryker, Biogen, and Seniorlink; plus a flock of risk officer hires at Wells Fargo. A few folks are going the consulting route, we have three job openings to note, and our Meme of the Week goes out to the Breakfast Club.

As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn.

Compliance Jobs News

We begin with Michael Mangold, who says he is leaving Deloitte, where he had been senior manager for cyber risk services for eight years, to join Google as compliance lead for YouTube. No word yet on exactly when Mangold will start there. One assumes any future training courses he develops will be streamed on, well, you know…

In Dallas, Sam Maynard has joined precious metals firm Elemetal Direct as chief compliance officer. Maynard comes to the firm after a few short-term gigs with PwC and the Justice Department, helping them with various compliance testing projects.

Biogen has hired Priscilla Regonatti as standards and governance manager for its Brazil operations. She previously worked for a few months as compliance manager for the food and beverage business Vigor Alimentos, and prior to that spent three years in compliance roles for Daichii Sankyo

Daniele Hickey has joined Stryker Corp. as senior manager for compliance education and communication, serving the North and Latin America markets. Hickey comes to Stryker from Ethisphere (there’s an interesting move), where she had been director of engagement for the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance. Some of you might also remember Hickey from her compliance roles at Oceaneering prior to that.

Heather Metz, last seen as manager of government compliance for Gateway Health at the end of 2019 in Pittsburgh, has turned up at ProgenyHealth Corp. She’s manager of compliance and privacy. Still in Pittsburgh.

Philadelphia-based Radius Health has promoted Rashad Kirby from senior director of compliance to deputy compliance officer. Kirby has been with Radius since 2018.

Azurity Pharmaceuticals in Boston has promoted Sean Nabi from associate counsel for compliance to senior counsel and director of compliance. Nabi has been with the Boston-based firm since last September.

Seniorlink, a Boston-based technology company working in the assisted living market, has named Amy McConnell chief compliance and privacy officer. Previously McConnell was director of corporate compliance and privacy officer at NantHealth, a healthcare IT company. McConnell succeeds Diane Fronckiewicz, who had joined Seniorlink last December and now seems to have moved on.

In the United Arab Emirates, TE Connectivity has promoted Wafa Derouiche from director of legal compliance for EMEA to chief compliance officer. Derouiche has been with TE Connectivity in various roles for six years.

Delightfully named PedidosYa, an e-commerce food delivery service based in Uruguay, has named Gonzalo Balderrama (also a delightful name) senior legal manager for Latin America. Balderrama had previously been chief compliance officer for Ripio, a fintech startup in Buenos Aires.

Natura Co., parent company to Avon, the Body Shop, and Aesop, has promoted Victoria Dolabella compliance manager for group investigations and monitoring; Dolabella previously held that role for Avon alone.

Omar Richardson has joined the Grünenthal Group, a pharmaceutical firm working in pain management, as compliance officer. Richardson comes to the Grünenthal Group from Indivior, where he had been director of corporate compliance since 2016.

Premier Bank, a local bank in Defiance, Ohio, has named Jennifer Imber compliance officer for fair banking rules. Imber previously worked at State Bank & Trust Co. as assistant vice president for fair lending compliance.

In the mighty city of Buffalo, Victoria Komjathy has joined USAA as senior manager for compliance risk. Komjathy previously worked at KeyBank in Buffalo, as vice president of training and procedural change control.

OpenExchange, which bills itself as a “global video exchange purposefully designed for the finance industry,” has named Luis Valdez-Jimenez as contracts manager. He joins the firm from Pratt & Whitney, where he had been contracts manager for the past 18 months.

Conifer Health Solutions has promoted Lauren Lopez, from manager of coding compliance to director of coding compliance and quality. She’s based in suburban Austin, Texas.

Ezinne Ubosi, another delightfully named compliance professional, has a new role at Walmart as divisional ethics and compliance manager; based in Charlotte, N.C. She had previously been regional ethics and compliance manager for Virginia, North Caroline, and Tennessee. She is also celebrating 10 years at Walmart.

And it wouldn’t be a Jobs Report without an update on Wells Fargo’s compliance and risk reorganization. You might recall from last week that the bank is unwinding a plan to integrate its risk and compliance functions, which means business divisions within Wells will each have their own risk chiefs. Now we know who those people are:

Milestones

Alexis Wermuth is celebrating one year at Getinge, where she is head of North America ethics and compliance.

Vendors & Service Providers

Sharon Blanchette has joined consulting firm Chartwell Compliance as a director of BSA and sanctions advisory work. Blanchette previously worked at Atlantic Union Bank as head of its financial intelligence unit.

Peter Moeller has left Belgian pharmaceutical firm UCB, where he had been chief ethics and compliance officer since 2011. He has now hung out his own shingle as an independent compliance consultant, based in Brussels.

And a merger alert: compliance software firm Veriforce, based in Houston, has acquired other compliance software firm ComplyWorks, based in Calgary. I suspect this will not result in fewer sales reps calling you to ask for a meeting.

Open Req Orders

McKesson is looking for a vice president of compliance for practice management. Job is based in Dallas.
