Compliance Jobs News
We begin at VF Corp., owner of clothing brands such as Timberland, North Face, and other outdoorsy names, which just brought Karin Johnson on board as associate general counsel for ethics and compliance. Johnson had been doing freelance ethics and consulting work at VF for the past year; prior to that she was chief compliance officer at 21st Century Fox.
Sumitomo Mitsui Bancorp has named Ashley Fieber head of anti-fraud, bribery, and corruption. Fieber comes to Sumitomo from VyStar Credit Union, where she had been vice president for enterprise authentication and fraud. Fieber is also chair of the board of the Fraud Prevention Association. Based in Jacksonville, Fla.
ServiceNow, a tech company that “delivers digital workflows that deliver great experiences,” has hired Brian Foster as head of internal audit. Foster comes to the company from the Institute of Internal Auditors, where spent 11 years in various roles developing industry standards and certifications.
MUFG Securities has promoted Eric Einisman from vice president of compliance to chief compliance officer. Einisman has been with the firm since early 2018.
More responsibility for Anisa Dhalla at pharmaceutical firm UCB: the company has promoted her from head of compliance for the Americas to global head of ethics and compliance. Dhalla has been with UCB in various regulatory and compliance roles for 22 years.
Down in Florida, Broward Health has promoted Dan Villavisanis from senior compliance specialist to regional compliance officer. Villavisanis has been with Broward Health since 2017.
Remember Angelika Flamm, group compliance director at the Royal Mail in London until earlier this summer? She recently turned up as ethics and compliance adviser at UNOPS, a humanitarian development organization working under the United Nations.
David Ladwig has joined American Outdoor Brands as a compliance supervisor. Ladwig comes to AOB from Wells Fargo, where he had worked since January as a compliance senior associate. Before that Ladwig had pulled five years at Progressive Leasing.
In London, Ji Ewon Rachel Kim has left her job as EMEA regional ethics and compliance officer for United Airlines (one could say she flew the coop) to join AbbVie as a compliance officer. Kim had been with United only six months; prior to that she was at consumer goods company RB.
Community Hospital of Grand Junction, Colo., has named Landon Brown chief compliance officer. Brown comes to the hospital from Tenet Healthcare, where he had been a hospital compliance officer in Phoenix for two years. He succeeds Scott Houska, who is retiring.
And Nusbaum Realty Co., a real estate development and management firm based in Virginia, has promoted Kelley Brown from HUD compliance specialist to assistant director of affordable housing compliance. Brown has been with the firm since 2001 and working in compliance there since 2003.
Milestones
Leslie Boles just reached one year at Waud Capital Partners as director of compliance audit for WCP Healthcare.
Catherine Chiong is celebrating one year as senior compliance adviser for the Ant Group.
Callie Edwards is celebrating one year as compliance specialist at Bechtel Corp.
Megan Olson is celebrating one year as North America compliance officer for Coloplast.
Kevin Robinson just hit five years as associate vice president for audit, privacy, and compliance at Auburn University.
Cari Reed is celebrating five years as chief compliance officer at Option Care Health in Chicago.
And congratulations to the compliance team at the Veterans Health Administration, led by CCO Matt Tuchow, which just won the Health Ethics Trust’s 2020 Best Compliance Practice Award.
Vendors & Service Providers
Compliance software kingpin NAVEX Global has acquired CSRware, a cloud-based tech vendor that helps businesses aggregate, calculate and report on customizable sets of ESG metrics. Purchase price was undisclosed (drat), but clearly Navex believes there’s money to be made helping companies analyze and monitor their ESG performance.

IEEE, a professional association that sets standards in the technology industry, is looking for a senior paralegal for corporate compliance. Job is based in New York City.
The University of California-Berkeley is seeking an assistant vice chancellor for research and compliance. Job is based in Berkeley, Calif.
CareDx, which develops medical technologies for transplant procedures, is looking for a compliance director. Job is based in South San Francisco, Calif. This is a new role at the company, and recruitment firm Major, Lindsey & Africa is handling the placement.
