Compliance Jobs Report: Jan. 29
The Compliance Jobs Report has news from Facebook, Disney, and Sinclair Broadcasting this week; plus other moves at FINRA, Red Hat, Dell, and more. We have several job openings at General Electric and a few in the nonprofit sector; a compliance vendor just got a big cash infusion, and our Meme of the Week — is a GIF!
As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at mkelly@radicalcompliance.com or find me on LinkedIn.
Compliance Jobs News

Moniz
We begin at Facebook, which after many months has finally hired a chief compliance officer: Henry Moniz, who had been chief compliance officer and chief audit executive at ViacomCBS. Interesting to see that Facebook says Moniz will be chief compliance officer, when the original job posting had been for a chief ethics and compliance officer. He’ll report to the general counsel.
Disney just promoted Alicia Schwarz to chief compliance officer. Schwarz has been with the entertainment giant for seven years, and had been deputy chief compliance counsel since early 2020. She succeeds Jack Yellin, Disney’s compliance function since 2011, who is now retiring.
Sinclair Broadcast Group has hired Jeffrey Lewis as the company’s first-ever chief compliance officer. Lewis had been head of legal and compliance at Pinnacle Propane since 2018, but prior to that spent 15 years at AT&T and ended up as senior vice president and compliance officer. At Sinclair, he’ll report directly to CEO Chris Ripley.

Kinsella previously worked at Securities America, a broker-dealer firm also headquartered in Nebraska.

Jennifer Collins has joined FINRA, the regulator for broker-dealers, as associate general counsel for compliance. Collins had spent the last several years as corporate counsel for Abt Associates; some of you may also remember Collins from her days as compliance and ethics director at Fannie Mae in the 2010s.
In Dubai, Anjam Ara Akbar has left her job at Dell, where she was senior director of ethics and compliance for the EMEA region. Akbar is now compliance counsel at Neom, a government agency in Saudi Arabia working on sustainable urban development.
Heritage Southeast Bank, a community bank based in Atlanta, has named Pamela Purdue chief compliance officer. Purdue comes to Heritage Southeast after 10 years at Continuity, a regtech software vendor, where she had been chief regulatory officer.
Amazon has promoted Lindsey Casey, from compliance specialist to senior compliance manager. Casey has been with Amazon for two years and oversees the compliance training program.
Ronald Schecter has joined the Genesis Biotechnology Group in New Jersey as internal auditor. Schecter comes to Genesis from Munoz Engineering, where he had been a business analyst.
In Edmonton, Alberta, Shannon Ferdinand has been promoted to director of regulatory compliance at Capital Power. Ferdinand had been a senior compliance specialist, and she just hit her 10-year anniversary with the company.
Vendors & Service Providers
Traliant, provider of online workplace compliance training, just got a big infusion of capital from private equity firm PSG. The two only described the deal as a “majority investment,” with no numbers disclosed.
