The Compliance Jobs Report this week has new hires and promotions Anthem, Green Dot, JetBlue, Syngenta, plus a bunch of other companies. As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn.
Compliance Jobs News
We begin this week at health insurance giant Anthem, which has hired Bryant Aaron as chief compliance officer for all U.S. and international operations. Bryant joins Anthem after 15 years at Novartis, the last five of those years as chief compliance officer and U.S. country head for ethics and compliance.
Mike Althouse has accepted a job as chief compliance officer at Green Dot Corp., maker of prepaid debit cards “with a mission to reinvent personal banking for the masses.” Althouse comes to Green Dot after two years at The Bancorp in Delaware, where he had been chief compliance officer.
Allen Huang has been named JetBlue’s new associate general counsel for compliance, including securities law, corporate governance, and other corporate compliance issues. Huang has mostly worked as a contract legal officer for startups in the last few years, and had been assistant general counsel at Virgin America through most of the 2010s.
Rachel Batykefer has left Teva Pharmaceuticals, where she had been senior director of global ethics and compliance training since 2018 (and had been with Teva for eight years overall). Batykefer has joined Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals as senior director of corporate compliance.
Agribusiness giant Syngenta has promoted Luciana Rodrigues, from regional compliance officer for EMEA and Asia-Pacific to deputy head of global compliance and risk management. Rodrigues has been with Syngenta in various roles since 2013.

Brazilian petrochemicals giant Braskem has given a new title to Everson Zaczuk Bassinello. Bassinello had been the company’s chief audit, risk, and compliance officer for the last three years; now he is vice president of internal controls, risk management, compliance, internal audit, and data protection. That’s quite a purview for one person.
Also in Brazil, Juliana Araujo has joined fintech player Crypto.com as director of compliance. Araujo has been working as a compliance consultant for the last few years, and was chief compliance officer of Hudson Advisors’ Latin America operations in the late 2010s.
In Australia, Carla Aldemir has joined MLC Life Insurance as financial crime manager (preventing them, not committing them). Before MLC Aldemir was at Commonwealth Bank as a compliance manager for most of the past year.
In the United Arab Emirates, Baker Hughes has promoted Omar Mabruk Lajil from senior legal operations counsel to lead senior counsel for compliance and regulatory issues.
And in Portugal, Rita Eugénio has joined Banco BAI Europa as head of compliance. She comes to Banco BAI from Banco BPI, where she had been head of KYC and AML compliance since 2019.
Sesen Bio, a life sciences startup in Cambridge, Mass., developing cancer treatments, has hired John Knighton as chief compliance officer. Knighton starts at Sesen on Aug. 16 after three years at TherapeuticsMD, where he had been chief compliance officer.
Marci Mascorro has joined Flagstar Bank as a senior compliance partner. Mascorro comes to the bank (headquartered in Michigan, $31 billion in assets) after a few years as an independent compliance consultant. Prior to that she was a compliance officer at Ocwen Financial Corp.
And Marathon Asset Management, a hedge fund based in Boston, is promoting chief compliance officer Christine Chartouni to be chief legal officer. (She will also still hold the CCO title, apparently.) Jamie Raboy, the fund’s chief risk officer, will now also hold the title of chief operating officer. Both moves are part of a restructuring due to long-time president and COO Andrew Rabinowitz leaving the firm.
