Compliance Jobs News
This week we start with Zoominfo Technologies, which has hired former U.K. privacy regulator Simon McDougall as chief compliance officer. McDougall had been deputy commissioner at the U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office for nearly three years, until he stepped down last summer. He’ll now advise Zoominfo, which collects boatloads of data about people, on its privacy policies.
Nicholas Lawrence has a new job as director of compliance at RxDefine, a software company that tries to “streamline the patient journey.” Lawrence joins RxDefine after six years at AbbVie in several compliance and audit roles, most recently as associate director.
Angela Zografos has joined Advantage Behavioral Health, a New Jersey-based chain of behavioral health centers, as vice president of legal and compliance. Zografos comes to Advantage after 10 years at Gaming Labs International, where she most recently had been vice president of legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance.
Google has hired Antonio Francesco Abbadessa as regional ethics and business integrity lead for the EMEA region, working from London. Abbadessa comes to the search engine giant from telecom giant Veon, where he had been group ethics and compliance officer for operations.
Billy Hughes has joined the (rapidly growing) team at Victoria’s Secret, as assistant vice president of ethics and compliance. Hughes previously worked as a consultant at ACA Group and at Gartner.
Julie Martin has joined technology company Splunk as senior compliance manager. She comes to Splunk (it makes data analytics software) from oil giant BP, where she had been ethics and compliance manager for North America since 2016. Martin worked in other roles at BP since 2006.
Promoted: Eric Wilson, at Helmerich & Payne, a drilling services business in Tulsa, from senior manager of compliance to director of compliance. Wilson has been with H&P for 10 years.
Also promoted: Markus Maier, at biopharma company Insmed, from director of compliance for the EMEA region to senior director for EMEA.
And in Brazil, AbbVie has promoted Eduardo Nogueira Timotheo from senior compliance manager to director of compliance. Timotheo has been with AbbVie since 2011.
We also have a few items from the financial services world.
First, David Bunker has left his job as compliance officer at Vulcan, the asset management fund of late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Bunker has joined Kosmos Management in Seattle as chief operating officer.
Levine Leichtman Capital Partners has promoted Jeff Kropp, from deputy chief compliance officer to chief compliance officer. Kropp is also assistant general counsel, but compliance officer titles are way cooler than legal titles so they come first.
Torch Arch Capital, a private equity firm in Salt Lake City, has promoted Christian Little to chief compliance officer. Little joined the firm in 2020 as tax manager, and will continue to hold that role in addition to being CCO.
AE Wealth Management, a registered investment adviser firm based in Topeka, Kans., has hired Shawn Scholz as chief compliance officer. Scholz comes to the firm from investment management firm Waddell & Reed, where he had been vice president of compliance.
And Axa Mansard Insurance, a Nigerian subsidiary of the French insurance giant AXA, has named Oyedoyin Awoyinfa chief compliance officer. Awoyinfa has been with AXA Mansard for 14 years as corporate secretary and in various other legal roles.
Milestones
We regret to report the passing of Peter Henning, a law professor at Wayne State University and a long-time commentator on corporate law issues. If you read any thought leadership about corporate governance, compliance, or the law sometime in the last 15 years, odds are you encountered Henning’s work. He was 65, and died following a battle with dementia.
Luz Benito is celebrating one year at Honeywell, where she is principal export compliance officer.
Alka Kumar is celebrating one year as director of compliance and risk management at Healthworks for Northern Virginia.
James Swift is celebrating one year at Mundipharma, where he is head of compliance program effectiveness.
John Hullibarger just hit five years at Sherwin-Williams, where he is head of internal audit and loss prevention.
Vendors & Service Providers
Eric Young, former chief compliance officer of BNP Paribas Americas and a well-known thought leader on compliance issues, has joined Guidepost Solutions as a senior managing director.
RightShip, a due diligence and third-party risk firm that caters to the global shipping industry, has released a new tool to help maritime businesses measure and manage their greenhouse gas emissions.

Synopsys, a software firm based in Silicon Valley, is looking for a director of ethics and compliance. Job is based in Mountain View, Calif.
Panasonic Avionics Corp. is looking for a senior director of ethics and compliance. Job is based in Irvine, Calif.
The State of Wisconsin Investment Board is looking for a compliance analyst. Job is based in Madison, Wisc.
