Compliance Jobs News

We begin this week at Citigroup, which has promoted Tom Anderson to be chief compliance officer. Anderson has been chief compliance officer of Citi’s personal banking and wealth management division since last year. Prior to that he spent seven years at JPMorgan Chase as chief compliance officer for consumer and community banking, although earlier in his career Anderson spent 20 years at Citi in various roles. He succeeds Mary McNiff, who became chief compliance officer in 2020 just as Citi was negotiating a massive compliance settlement with banking regulators.

Brian Madonia has joined Goldman Sachs as senior vice president of internal audit. Madonia comes to the cool kids of Wall Street from Green Sky, a payments technology firm in Atlanta, where he had been head of internal audit for four years.

Truliant Credit Union, headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., has reassigned Rik Kielbasa to the role of chief compliance officer. Kielbasa had been Truliant’s chief digital officer since 2017, and has been with the company in other roles since 2008.

Anne-Marie Santoro has left her job as compliance director at G1 Therapeutics. Santoro joined G1 15 months ago; no word on where she might go next.

In Manchester, England, Dawn Hart has joined business lender DF Capital as compliance director and anti-money laundering officer. Hart was previously head of operational risk management and AML compliance at the Cumberland Building Society.

Big news from April Oliver: she has left her job at Salesforce.com, where she had been associate general counsel and head of the global ethics team for eight years. Oliver is joining Micron Technology as vice president and head of ethics and compliance. Still keeping it real in Silicon Valley.

In Denmark, Deborah Woodhouse has joined green energy business Ørsted as senior compliance counsel. Woodhouse comes to Ørsted after three years at Trustpilot, most recently as senior legal counsel. Being compliance counsel is, of course, way cooler.

Also in Denmark, Danske Bank has promoted Jatin Aggarwal to be chief of financial crimes compliance, transaction monitoring, and screening controls. Aggarwal has been with Danske Bank for two years and previously had been senior compliance officer for financial crimes and monitoring.

Airbus has shifted Justine Jayet into a new role as regional compliance manager for Africa and the Middle East. Jayet was compliance manager for internal investigations, based out of Airbus headquarters in France.

Susan Connelly has joined heavy industry manufacturer Cummins as senior counsel for compliance and data privacy. Connelly comes to Cummins after a year at Arconic, where she had been director of global compliance.

Here’s a move compliance folks love to see: Bitstamp, Europe’s largest crypto exchange, just named former chief compliance officer JB Graftieaux as its new CEO. Graftieaux was Bitstamp’s compliance chief in the mid-2010s. Lately he’s been a board director of eBay’s European subsidiary. Challenging times to run a crypto business, but always nice to see a compliance person running the show.

Speaking of crypto: FTX US, a cryptocurrency exchange here in the United States, has named Marissa MacDonald chief compliance officer for its soon-to-be-launched FTX Trust Co. subsidiary, based in New York. MacDonald joins FTX after 14 years at Fidelity Investments, where she most recently was chief compliance officer for digital assets.

The Advisor Group, the nation’s largest network of independent wealth management firms, has hired Iryna Northrip to be chief compliance officer. Northrip joins Advisor Group from Mariner Wealth Advisers, where she had been chief compliance officer since 2021.

United Group, a Dutch telecom firm that operates phone networks in southeastern Europe, has hired Miriam Di Traglia as group head of compliance. Di Traglia, who will be based in London, comes to United after three years at Clear Channel Communications, most recently as head of legal and regulatory compliance.

Susan Slimack has joined Midwest Vision Partners in Chicago as vice president of compliance. Slimack previously worked at Advocate Aurora Health as research compliance officer.

And Lynn Gefen is leaving her job as deputy general counsel and chief risk and compliance officer at HomeServe USA, a role she’s had since 2014. She is joining TerrAscend, a legalized cannabis company, as chief legal officer.

Milestones

Bradley Bismark is celebrating one year at Microsoft as director of global risk and compliance operations.

Alicia Opal Bonaire is celebrating one year at Sumitovant Biopharma, where she is vice president of compliance.

Frederick Reynolds is celebrating one year at fintech firm Brex, where he is chief compliance officer.

Open Req Orders

On24, the webinar platform people, is looking for a SOX compliance manager. Job can be remote.

Citigroup is looking for a vice president of anti-corruption and bribery compliance. Job is based in Tampa. LinkedIn estimates the salary range at $63,000 to $122,00, which seems both low and hopelessly broad to me.

Neurocrine Biosciences is looking for a vice president of internal audit. Job is based in San Diego.
