Compliance Jobs Report: Dec. 2

The Compliance Jobs Report never stops! This week we have personnel updates at Diebold, PwC, Airbus, T-Mobile, and many more. Also a few workplace anniversaries to note; job leads in pharma, tractors, and subways; and Meme of the Week goes out to tight budgets.

As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn .

Compliance Jobs News

This week we begin with financial technology giant Diebold Nixdorf. The company is moving its chief ethics and compliance officer, Lisa Radigan, into the role of chief people officer — a job that sounds like she’ll be in charge of HR, workforce development, and corporate culture, according to the company’s press release. Radigan has been head of ethics and compliance at Diebold since she joined the company in 2014. No word on who might succeed Ratigan in the CCO job.

Fidelity National Information Services, the financial tech company more commonly known as FIS, has hired Frederick Reynolds as chief compliance officer and deputy general counsel. Reynolds joins FIS from Brex, a corporate credit card startup trying to “reimagine financial systems,” where he had been chief compliance officer. Reynolds is coming to FIS just as the company is preparing to lay off thousands of people

Matt Giese has joined PwC as a director of ethics and compliance (to manage the firm’s in-house compliance needs, not to work in the advisory practice with clients). Giese comes to PwC after a 16-year stretch at Fidelity Investments, where most recently he had been vice president of internal investigations.

We missed this until now, but Universal Electronics has hired Koray Ozturk as vice president of global compliance. Ozturk previously worked at Etisalat Group, an IT services firm based in Abu Dhabi, where he had been head of corporate compliance. Ozturk is now based in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Trisha D’Costa has been promoted at oil & gas player McDermott International, from ethics and compliance manager to ethics and compliance senior manager. D’Costa works for McDermott from Dubai and has been with the company 11 years.

T-Mobile has hired Maria Arbona as principal corporate counsel for anti-corruption and third-party compliance. Arbona joins T-Mobile after seven years at GSK, the last two of those years as head of GSK’s anti-bribery center of excellence. (“Welcome to our department. This is where all the excellence comes from.”)

Joao Chagas has joined Conti Capital, a real estate investment firm headquartered in Dallas, as director of compliance. Chagas comes to Conti from compliance consulting firm Bovill, where he had been managing consultant since 2021.

Mary Beth Svetz has joined CSL Behring, a biotech firm based in Pennsylvania, as ethics and compliance lead for North America. She comes to the company after 10 years at Novo Nordisk, most recently as a senior ethics and compliance manager.

Online trading firm Robinhood has declared that John “JD” DiThomas will be its permanent new chief compliance officer. DiThomas had been interim CCO for the last few months; he joined the company only in February.

8×8, a communications technology company, has promoted chief compliance officer Larry Denny to be chief legal officer. Denny had been CCO at the company since June, and deputy general counsel since 2019. His promotion comes at a time of tumult.  8×8 fired its CEO Dave Sipes this week, amid a free-fall in the company’s share price; and Denny succeeds former general counsel Matt Zinn, who bailed out to take a job at another company.

Wissem Belghazi has joined Mainstream Renewable Power, an Irish power generation business, as global compliance executive. Belghazi previously worked at Corin Group as compliance manager for that company’s French operations.

Lance Stricklin has joined Airbus as head of export controls. Stricklin comes to the aviation giant after 18 months at Schlumberger, where he had been managing counsel for trade compliance.

And in Poland, Rohlig Suus Logistics has hired Malgorzata Zimna as compliance manager. Zimna previously worked at Avon, where she had been group compliance counsel for the company’s Central and Eastern Europe regions.
