Lots of news as usual in the Compliance Jobs Report this week. We have updates from Victoria’s Secret, Wells Fargo, Florida Cancer Specialists, a few biotech firms, and more. A few vendors are rolling out new tools to demonstrate how much they love you; and we have job leads in biotech, broker-dealers, and public education. Meme of the Week goes out to SOX compliance!

As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn .

Compliance Jobs News

This week we begin at Victoria’s Secret, which just made two more compliance hires as it builds out its team there. Ken Masters joins the lingerie retailer as a senior investigator for ethics and compliance; he previously worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Felicia Rothchild also joined the team as a compliance specialist; she previously worked at the District of Columbia Department of Healthcare Finance as a human resources specialist. Forrest Degan, chief ethics and compliance officer at the company, proudly noted, “It’s not official until we post about it on LinkedIn” and of course he’s correct.

Capital Power, a wholesale electric utility headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, has promoted Shannon Ferdinand from director of regulatory compliance to senior manager of health and safety. Ferdinand has been with Capital Power since 2010.

The National Bank of Kuwait has named Tariq Radwan head of compliance for its Saudi Arabia operations. Radwan comes to the bank from Saudi National Bank, where he had been manager of compliance development and reporting for almost two years.

Hotelbeds, a travel technology company based in Spain, has hired Gail Wessels as director of internal audit and GRC. Wessels previously worked at Empark, a Spanish company that managed parking lots and “mobility solutions,” as a consultant helping to build its compliance program.

Cerevel Therapeutics, a Boston-based biotech company working on neuro diseases, has hired Shoshanna Clark as chief compliance officer. Clark comes to the company from Takeda, where she had been head of U.S. ethics and compliance operations since April.

Now Luxembourg: Docler Holdings, an IT services firm headquartered there, has hired Cid Ferreira as senior compliance manager. Ferreira previously worked at mining giant Vale for 10 years in various roles, most recently as contract compliance manager.

In St. Louis, Joe Buck has joined Wells Fargo as a lead compliance officer. Buck comes to the bank from Stifel Financial Corp., where he had been director of AML and financial crimes compliance.

Florida Cancer Specialists has promoted Tyler Hendricksen, from associate director of compliance and privacy to director. Hendricksen has been with the company since 2019.

TD Synnex has promoted Austin Tellam from director of ethics and compliance for the Americas to senior director. Tellam has been with the IT services firm since 2020.

And Kyle Daddio has joined Stout, an investment bank and advisory firm, as managing director for regulatory compliance and financial crimes. Daddio joins Stout from FTI Consulting, where he had been working in the financial services practice.

Milestones

Steve Donovan is celebrating one year at Wesco International as chief compliance officer.

Thomas Leistner just reached one year at XPO Logistics, where he is vice president of ethics and compliance.

Thai Trower is celebrating one year at Google, where she is head of AML compliance in the company’s digital payments division.

And Steve Smith is celebrating 20 years at Wells Fargo, where he is a senior manager of internal audit.

Vendors & Service Providers

Ethisphere and the Association of Corporate Counsel Foundation have launched a new tool to help companies measure the maturity of their diversity & inclusion efforts. One assumes this means Ethisphere and ACC will publish a report about D&I efforts sometime next year.

The Institute of Internal Auditors and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners have launched a joint education effort, providing materials to help their members sharpen their fraud risk assessment skills. Probably a growth industry, since the SEC is telling auditors to do better on fraud risk.
