Compliance Jobs Report: Jan. 27

Another huge Jobs Report this week! We have news from Mimecast, Kraken, NBCUniversal, Xylem, and elsewhere here in the United States; plus a bundle of items from overseas. Also lots of work anniversaries to note, and job leads in healthcare, film, and toys.

As always, thank you to all the compliance people sending me tips and links to keep this report going. We need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn .

Compliance Jobs News

This week we begin at email security giant Mimecast, which is promoting deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer Chris Dollase to general counsel. He is succeeding Bob Nault, who had been GC since 2017 and “plans to relax for a while,” according to the company. Dollase has been Mimecast’s compliance chief since he joined the company in 2016; unclear whether he’ll keep the CCO title or that job will devolve to someone else.

In the crypto world, trading platform Kraken (and that’s not a suspicious name for a suspicious corner of the finance world, no sir…) has hired C.J. Rinaldi as chief compliance officer. Rinaldi succeeds Steven Christie, who left Kraken last year to be CCO at Binance; and he joins Kraken after 15 months at Blockchain.com, where he had also been chief compliance officer.

Samantha Yarbrough has joined American Water as chief compliance officer. Yarbrough comes to the New Jersey-based utility giant from Nouryon, a chemicals maker, where she had been chief compliance officer since 2019.

Also in New Jersey: Valerie Campbell has joined St. Joseph’s Health in Patterson, N.J., as chief compliance officer. Campbell comes to the healthcare system after eight years at Westchester Medical System, the last 18 months of which as chief compliance officer.

And another in Florida: Daniel A. Villavisanis has joined HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in Miami as director of ethics and compliance. He comes to the hospital after five years at Broward Health, most recently as regional compliance officer.

And Abbott Labs has promoted Zachary Portin from counsel for regulatory and compliance matters to senior counsel.
