Compliance Jobs News

This week we begin with ZenDesk, provider of customer management software to corporations; the company just hired Hemma Lomax as associate general counsel for compliance. Lomax comes to ZenDesk after 18 months at Snap, where she had been senior counsel for ethics and compliance. Earlier in her career Lomax also worked at Disney and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and she is a delightful person to have on a webinar.

Perlman comes to Binance from rival crypto firm Gemini, where he first joined as chief compliance officer in 2019 and had been chief operating officer since 2020. Binance had been trying to hire a CCO for months, and Perlman’s arrival seems well-timed — the company was just discovered to have moved $400 million from its U.S. affiliate’s bank account, which absolutely totally doesn’t look sketchy, no siree.

JG Wentworth, that financial services company with the “I need cash now!” commercials, has named Doreen Ghusar vice president of compliance. Ghusar had been head of compliance for Stilt, a fintech lending platform, that JG Wentworth recently acquired.

compliance jobsNick Colón has been promoted at Farfetch, a tech platform that bills itself as “the global platform for luxury.” (So I’ll be a customer, like, never.)
