If it’s Friday, it’s the Compliance Jobs Report! This week we have news from Illinois Tool Works, Bechtel, Lixil Group, Cambridge University Press, and more. We also have some gossip about a certain GRC vendor; job leads in entertainment, auditing, and weapons; and Meme of the Week goes out to Barbie!

Always remember that we need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! You can easily find updates from your LinkedIn contacts by visiting the My Network tab on your own profile and then checking the Stay in Touch option at the top of that page.

We also take any other gossip you might have, even confidentially. If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn.

Compliance Jobs News

This week we begin with industrial manufacturing giant ITW (previously known as Illinois Tool Works, a far better name), which just hired Angela Carter as chief compliance officer. Carter comes to ITW after seven years in various roles at Owens Corning, most recently as director of compliance and legal operations.

Shreya Hasija has joined construction giant Bechtel Corp. as an ethics and compliance officer, working for the company’s operations in India. Hasija previously worked at Akzo Nobel for eight years, most recently as regional integrity and compliance officer for South Asia.

Compliance jobsProvident Bank, one of the larger community banks in New Jersey, has made two notable hires. First, the bank has hired Mary Brown as chief compliance officer. Brown comes to Provident after 10 years at HSBC, where she was chief compliance officer for HSBC’s wealth management and retail operations. Diane Gigliotti has also joined Provident as corporate controller. She previously worked at BBVA as chief financial officer for the bank’s New York branch.

Danette Slevinksi has joined Atlantic Health System in New Jersey as chief compliance, privacy, and internal audit officer, and also research integrity officer. Slevinksi comes to the hospital system after seven years at University Hospital in Newark, N.J., where she had been chief compliance officer.

In the United Kingdom, Cambridge University Press has hired Chantal Gewers as business ethics and compliance manager. Gewers previously worked not far away, either geographically or professionally: she was at Oxford University Press as senior ethics and compliance manager.

John Chenault has joined Rally Credit Union in Dallas, where he is director of BSA compliance. He comes to Rally after 18 months at Walmart, where Chenault had been a senior manager in the company’s financial intelligence unit.

DKSH, a professional services firm that helps businesses expand into Asia, has promoted Tal Freilich from director of group compliance to vice president of group compliance, risk, and governance. Freilich has been with the firm since 2021.

Lixil Group, a Japanese maker of kitchen and bathroom products, has hired Darja Galante as head of ethics and compliance for the Asia-Pacific region. Galante comes to the company from TikTok, where she had been ethics and compliance officer for the EMEA region since last year.

And Julie Sanders, chief audit executive for Dell Technologies, has joined the board of directors at Carriage Services, a national operator of funeral homes in the United States. Sanders has been with Dell for more than 20 years, and was named CAE in 2021. More audit and compliance people on boards!

Milestones

Carmela Dellinger is celebrating one year at medical device maker Teleflex, where she is compliance officer for the Americas and interventional urology.

Amanda Gleason is celebrating one year at Freddie Mac, where she is senior compliance operations officer.

John Sardar is celebrating one year as global head of compliance at AB InBev.

Athena Avgousti-Bauer just hit five years as chief audit executive at Signet Jewelers in Ohio. Also got promoted to senior vice president, too.

Yohan Favreau is celebrating five years as head of risk and compliance at Alten, a French IT services and consulting firm.

Brittney Galster is celebrating 20 years at CNO Financial Group! These days Galster is corporate compliance manager, and she has worked in compliance roles at CNO for the last decade or so.

And Mike Peppers, chief audit executive at the University of Texas System, has joined the board of COSO. He is the Institute of Internal Auditors representative, since Peppers is a former chairman of the IIA’s global board.

Vendors and Service Providers

Some gossip this week about OneTrust: apparently the company is eliminating dedicated customer service managers for its OneTrust Ethics Cloud customers, in favor of a system “focused on ensuring our customers have access to a variety of digital resources to help you get the most out of your organization’s purchase.”

Now customers will need to access an online support forum to submit requests for tech support, and it looks like OneTrust will also expand an online library of FAQs and other digital libraries. You’ll still have the usual account manager (since that’s the person in charge of asking you to pay your invoice) from your customer profile, but still — numerous compliance officers have told me this week they are quite peeved with this change in customer support.

Open Req Orders

Rheinmetall, a German defense contractor, is looking for an associate general counsel and compliance officer for its North America operations. Job is based in Auburn Hills, Mich.

KPMG is looking for a director and assistant counsel to join its ethics and compliance team, working on compliance investigations. Job is allegedly based in New York, but I bet you can push for any city with a significant KPMG office.

Disney is looking for a senior integrated auditor. Job is based in Los Angeles, and pay range is listed at $102,000 to $124,000.

Compliance Meme of the Week

That’s all for this week’s report.
