Compliance Jobs News
This week we start with casino and online gambling company Bally’s Corp., which recently named Don Wescott global chief compliance officer. Wescott comes to Bally’s after three years at Nuvei, an international payments business, where he had been global head of compliance. Bally’s also named Tammi Barlow its first-ever vice president of global responsibility and social impact; she joins the company from Rush Street Interactive, where she had been vice president of corporate social responsibility.
ChristianaCare, a large healthcare system headquartered in Delaware, has hired Gregory Ehardt as chief compliance and privacy officer. Erhardt previously worked at Steward Healthcare in Texas as chief compliance officer. Recruitment firm BarkerGilmore made the placement.
Alyson Beasley Bradley has joined WSFS Bank, a regional player in Philadelphia and Delaware, as chief auditor. Bradley comes to WSFS (“we stand for service!” and yes, they trademarked that) after three years at Freedom Mortgage, where she had also been chief audit executive.
And another in community banks: First Financial Bank, which operates 80 locations across Texas, has hired Javier Jurado as chief audit executive. He joins First Financial from U.S. Bank, where he spent the last four years as senior audit manager for digital transformation.
In New York, Valerie Pupchenko has joined American Express as a vice president of internal audit working on financial crimes. Pupchenko previously worked at Shinhan America Bank since 2021 as deputy chief auditor.
Defense contractor BAE Systems has promoted Steven King from compliance assistant to compliance officer, working from Rochester, England. King has been with BAE for five years.
Gjensidige, a Norwegian insurance group, has hired Charlotta Lekman as compliance and data privacy officer. Lekman comes to the company after nine years in various roles at Willis Tower Watson, most recently as deputy compliance director for Western Europe.
Mary Laumbach has joined Catholic Charities USA as a compliance officer. Laumback previously worked at RHA Health Services in New Jersey, where she was director of quality assurance.
Truist Securities has hired Edware McGowan as a director, working on risk management infrastructure and regulatory execution. McGowan previously spent four years at Credit Suisse in various roles, including research compliance and risk and controls officer. He’s based in Charlotte, N.C.
Centurion Wealth Management has promoted Jill Grimes from director of operations to chief compliance officer. (Actually Grimes will now hold both titles, but a chief compliance officer role is always superior to all others.) Grimes has been with the Virginia-based firm for two years.
And PSSI, a food safety solution and sanitation provider, has named Diego Alvarez as its first chief compliance officer. Alvarez joins PSSI after nearly a decade at Walmart, where he served as senior director for international ethics and compliance, governance, and monitoring.
