Compliance Jobs Report
This week we begin on a somber note with a changing of the guard at Wells Fargo. Word is that Suzanne Morgan, deputy chief compliance officer at the bank since earlier this year, is moving up to be chief compliance officer — she succeeds Paula Domenick, who passed away from cancer in April.
Domenick had been CCO at Wells Fargo since 2020; earlier in her career she held senior compliance roles at Credit Suisse USA, Bank of America, and JPMorgan. She was 64.
The National Rifle Association has promoted Robert Mensinger to the newly created role of chief compliance officer, as the gun lobbyist group tries to recover from its recent fraud and misgovernance scandals. Mensinger has been with the NRA since last fall as an in-house legal officer; prior to that he was director of business integrity for KBR.
Syneos Health, a biotech research firm in New Jersey, has hired Heather Patrick as compliance and ethics manager. Patrick joins the company from Hikma Pharmaceuticals, where she had been a senior analyst for legal affairs.
FirstEnergy Corp., the power utility in Ohio with a corruption-checkered past, has expanded the role of Deandra Williams-Lewis; she had been (and still is) director of ethics and compliance, and now has picked up the chief privacy officer job too. Williams-Lewis has been with FirstEnergy since 2021, when the afore-mentioned corruption was still fresh news.
FARO Technologies, an industrial manufacturer headquartered in Florida, has hired Prashant Rath as director of IT governance, risk, and compliance. Rath comes to the business from Indian IT services giant Wipro, where he had been senior manager for GRC since 2022.
Medtronic has promoted Lauren Lueck from senior business process improvement manager to senior compliance and audit manager. Lueck has been with Medtronic since 2016.
Chris Lucas has moved up the ranks at Discover Financial Services, from senior manager for “lean management” in the consumer banking division to senior principal compliance specialist. Lucas has been with Discover for 10 years.
Insurance giant Invesco has hired Ronald Xie as head of internal audit for its greater China division. Xie previously worked at JPMorgan for a year as vice president of internal audit.

The credit union also moved up chief compliance officer Erick Martinez from vice president to senior vice president.
Bermuda-based insurance firm Fortitude Re has promoted Carla Alertze from vice president of internal audit to senior vice president and head of internal audit.

Equiscript, a pharmacy benefits firm based in Charleston, S.C., has hired April Dean as financial compliance analyst. Dean comes to Equiscript from McKesson, where she had been a strategic customer analyst.
Citizens Bank has bumped Melissa Bell into a new role as senior compliance specialist for Citizens Securities. Bell had previously been an investment assistant for the bank.
Mendel Diesendruck has an expanded role at Microsoft; he had been chief compliance officer for Brazil, and now is head of compliance for Mexico operations as well. Diesendruck has been with Microsoft in various roles for 13 years.
Clever Care Health Plan has promoted Julie To from compliance auditor to enterprise compliance manager. To has been with Clever Care, a health insurance business, since 2022.
Monarch Wealth Strategies, a wealth management firm in Santa Barbara, has tapped Nicole Allen to be the firm’s chief compliance officer. Allen has already been with the firm for five years working as a wealth adviser.

Repligen, a biotech firm in suburban Boston, has hired Robert Canedo as EHS compliance manager. Candeo was previously EHS manager for Cytiva, another biotech firm in suburban Boston. (We have a lot of ’em out here.)
Jennifer Alabiso has a new role at discount brokerage Charles Schwab. She moved from being director of the retail investor compliance group to compliance director for the adviser practice group.
First Citizens Bank has hired Michaela Feinman as a senior compliance analyst working on enhanced due diligence. Feinman previously worked at CORE Higher Education as an implementation specialist — and apparently she had a side hustle at StitchFix as one of those people who select outfits for monthly customer deliveries.
Disney has hired Angel Gonzalez as a privacy compliance analyst. Gonzalez comes to the Big Mouse after six years at Checkr, where he most recently had been a legal operations associate.
Amy Turner has joined Onward Brands, maker of various tech accessories, as quality and compliance manager. Turner comes to the California-based business from Redbubble, where she had been product safety and compliance manager.
