We also take any other gossip you might have, even confidentially. If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn.

Compliance Jobs Report

This week we begin at Microsoft, where Mischa Lewis is hanging up the cape after nine years as a senior compliance and internal controls executive. Most recently Lewis was global lead for the company’s “OneCompliance” program; in prior roles he was also director of compliance for Microsoft’s Western Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. No word yet on what he’ll do next.

Mike Munro has left his job at Tesla, where he had been associate general counsel for global compliance for the last two years. What’s next? Munro has rejoined GCMR, a compliance and ESG consulting firm he helped to launch in 2019.

Insurance giant Chubb has promoted George Ohsiek from chief auditor to chief accounting officer. Mong-Diep “Dee” Le, currently Chubb’s global controller, will succeed Ohsiek as chief auditor. Nice to see the cultivation and promotion of internal candidates, that’s how it should be done!

Changing of the guard at FNB Corp., the regional bank based in Pittsburgh. Chief audit executive Christine Tvaroch is retiring after nearly 30 years at the firm; she will be succeeded by chief operational risk officer Ronda Edkins, who joined FNB last year (after a few as head of audit services at USAA.)

We have an update on Luciane Mallmann, last seen stepping away from JLL in June, where she had been head of ethics and compliance. Mallmann just turned up at Strada, provider of payroll and financial management services, where she is interim global compliance director.

The investment bank Barclays just hired Lucy Gladdish as vice president and senior manager for its financial crimes advisory team. Gladdish comes to the bank from Verto, a British fintech firm working in global payments, where she had been deputy anti-money laundering officer.

Vendors & Service Providers

Remember Lara Warner, former chief risk and compliance officer at Credit Suisse until 2021, when she departed amid several risk management gaffes? After a few years of keeping a low profile, Warner has resurfaced at Starling Trust, a risk advisory firm based in Washington as a member of its advisory board.

Open Req Orders

Costco is looking for a SOX controllership manager. Job is based in Seattle, with a salary range listed at $137,000 to $200,000. Given Costco’s reputation for a strong corporate culture and its diverse operations, I bet this would be quite the challenge. Hold out for a free Kirkland t-shirt as part of the package.

RapidAI, a company using AI to treat vascular illnesses, is looking for a VP of regulatory affairs and quality assurance. Job is based in Colorado, with salary range listed at $200,000 to $245,000. This one must also be quite the challenge, given the emergent regulatory risks around AI and healthcare.

Millennium Physician Group is looking for a chief ethics and compliance officer. Job is based in Nashville, Tenn. No salary range provided, but Nashville is just a cool city.
