Compliance Jobs
This week we begin at TransUnion, which just hired Dylan Owens as a senior director and head of ethics and conduct compliance programs. Owens comes to the credit reporting business from ASML, the Dutch microchip giant; he had been hired to be ASML’s first compliance leader in North America as it ramped up new operations in Arizona.
No lie: Andrew Heineman has been hired by Honest Medical Group, a healthcare consulting firm based in Nashville, as chief compliance officer. Heineman had previously been chief compliance and privacy officer at Peak Health.
Timken Co. has promoted Angel Olivas from manager of global ethics and compliance to head of ethics, compliance, and data privacy. Olivas has been with Timken since 2019.
Carrina Ferrer just landed a job at Stripe’s Mexico operations, as global operations manager for onboarding compliance. Ferrer comes to Stripe after six years at Uber, where most recently she had been manager of the public safety response team for Latin America. Ferrer also says she’s going to be staffing up her team, if you’re a compliance professional in Mexico looking for a new gig.
Susan Elhage has joined pharmaceutical giant Roche as a corporate compliance officer in its Australia operations. Elhage comes to Roche after eight years at Boston Scientific, most recently as compliance lead for Australia and New Zealand.
And another from Australia! Rebecca Gonzalez has joined the University of Sydney as senior manager for operational risk resilience and compliance. Gonzalez comes to the school after 34 years (!!!) at Sydney Water, where most recently she had been resilience programs leader.
In Partnership, a network of financial advisers in the United Kingdom, has hired Lewis Harvey as group compliance director. Harvey previously spent six years at Quilter, another U.K. financial advisory and wealth management firm, where most recently he had been compliance director.
Aon has hired Gemma O’Callaghan as head of compliance in its Ireland operations. O’Callaghan comes to Aon from White Horse Insurance, where she had also been head of compliance for Ireland operations.
Sandeep Nangia has joined Indian IT outsourcing giant Infosys as a senior manager for risk. Nangia comes to Infosys from Teleperformance, a French IT outsourcing giant, where he had been manager for security and privacy compliance.
Brett Lassoff has a new role within the MassMutual empire, moving from compliance consultant at the MassMutual Financial Group to compliance officer at MassMutual Credit Union. Lassoff has been serving some part of the MassMutual empire since 2013.
Vodafone has promoted Marwa Salama in its Egypt operations, from senior specialist for internal fraud investigations to compliance lead.
Jon Brynga has been hired by Clear Spring Property and Casualty, an insurance firm based in Connecticut (naturally), as vice president for compliance. Brynga comes to Clear Spring from Allianz Global Corporate and Speciality, where he had been team lead for North America product lifecycle and innovation.
JLL, the real estate firm formally known as Jones Lang LaSalle, has hired Morgan Desmond as compliance manager. Morgan joins the firm from Bristol Myers Squibb, where she had been manager of quality assurance in manufacturing operations.
In New York, Francesco Greco has joined Sumitomo Mitsui Bank as executive director of surveillance data and analytics. Greco previously had been across town at Société Générale, where he had been director of compliance governance and strategic transformation.
Virginia Commonwealth University (go Rams!) has expanded the role of Suzanne Milton, from chief ethics and compliance officer to chief audit and compliance executive. Milton has been with the school since 2021; some of you might remember her as head of ethics and compliance at U.S. Foods in the 2010s.
Will Achey has joined Sammons Industrial, which rents out commercial and industrial equipment, as senior director of internal audit. He comes to Sammons from Daseke, a trucking and logistics firm, where he had been senior manager of internal audit and SOX compliance.
Royal Bank of Canada has hired Shirin Sadique as manager of internal audit, anti-money laundering, and financial crimes platforms. Sadique comes to RBC from Exchange Bank of Canada, where she had been manager of regulatory compliance management. She is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is a lovely city.
Cambridge Associates has hired Chris Halloran as senior director of internal audit. Halloran comes to the financial services firm, which is actually headquartered in Boston rather than across the river in Cambridge, from Morgan Stanley, where he had been vice president of IT audit.
Pharmaceutical distributor Morris & Dickson has hired Vinu Pillai as chief regulatory and compliance officer. Pillai previously worked at Alto Pharmacy as assistant general counsel.
Ned Bank, one of the largest banks in South Africa, has promoted Samukelisiwe Mnculwane from senior manager for compliance to head of compliance.
And Eric Allegakoen, a long-time guru of internal audit and internal control, just joined Expedia as vice president of finance and global corporate audit services. Allegakoen previously held a similar role at Sun Power for most of this year, and earlier in his career worked at Roku and Adobe.
Vendors & Service Providers
The Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association have elected several new people to their joint board of directors. Coming aboard, so to speak, are:
- Hassan Chaudry, chief compliance officer for Ultium, a new joint venture of General Motors and Posco to produce electric vehicle batteries;
- Lisa Kuca, who has been a compliance executive at Wells Fargo, Lumber Liquidators, the World Bank, and elsewhere;
- David Lane, chief compliance officer at Providence Health.
Kevin Gross, a former compliance executive at Penumbra and at Chevron, has launched his own compliance consulting practice, called CR Consulting (for “compliance and risk”).
Andrew McBride has also launched his own consulting practice, Integrity Bridge. McBride is the former chief compliance officer at Albemarle Corp. and helped steer the company to its big FCPA settlement last year.
Open Req Orders
Colorado Access, a healthcare system in Colorado, is looking for a manager of compliance risk and auditing. Job is based in Aurora, Colo. Salary range is a quite reasonable $99,000 to $120,000.
Yamaha Motor Corp. is looking for a global head of financial services internal audit. Job is based in Los Angeles, with a ridiculously wide salary range of $144,000 to $287,000.
Ericsson is looking for a junior compliance officer. Job can be based in either Plano, Texas, or Montreal — where the job title is known as agent de conformité, and sounds way cooler.
