Compliance Jobs Report: Nov. 1
The Compliance Jobs Report is here as always! This week we have updates from Schneider Electric, Nordson, Microsoft, Anthropic, Collins Aerospace, Ferrero, and many more. Some new training vendors have entered the chat; job leads are in banking, medical devices, and mobile phones. Meme of the Week goes out to voters!
Always remember that we need your help to make the Report work, so send me some news! You can easily find updates from your LinkedIn contacts by visiting the My Network tab on your own profile and then checking the Stay in Touch option at the top of that page.
We also take any other gossip you might have, even confidentially. If you have a tip to pass along, email me at [email protected] or find me on LinkedIn.
Compliance Jobs
This week we begin at the Walton School of Medicine, which of course is in Bentonville, Ark. The school has hired James Dockery as chief compliance officer. Dockery spent the prior seven years at USAA in various roles related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; earlier in his career he was also assistant vice president for equity and inclusion at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Michelle Dewarrat has joined Balfour Beatty Investments, provider of infrastructure investing to finance large construction projects; she is the firm’s new senior vice president of risk management. Dewarrat comes to Balfour after three years at software firm CSG, where she had been head of global risk.
Jaci Green has a new role at M&T Bank, a retail bank headquartered in Buffalo. Greene has moved from compliance manager for complex investigations to compliance manager for the centralized exit team.
We have two items to note from Schneider Electric. First, the company hired Michael Lazaris as internal audit manager. He comes to Schneider from Steward Healthcare, the private-equity hospital chain that collapsed earlier this year; Lazaris had been an internal audit director there. Second, the company promoted Krystyn Mansfield from compliance officer for North America to compliance officers for the Americas. Here’s hoping she gets to travel to South America more often!
Precision manufacturer Nordson Corp. has hired Kevin Fetcher as senior director of internal audit. Fetcher comes to the Ohio-based company after 11 years at Eaton Corp., where most recently he was senior director of internal control and process improvement.
Paramount Commerce, a large payments business in Canada, has hired Jochen Best as vice president of compliance. Best comes to Paramount after two years at NomuPay, a payments firm working in Asia-Pacific, where he had been deputy chief anti-money laundering officer.
United Community Banks, a regional bank based in South Carolina with $27 billion in assets, has hired William McKinney as chief audit executive. McKinney comes to the bank from World Finance Corp., where he had been head of internal audit.
In Japan, pharmaceutical giant Kyowa Kirin says its chief compliance officer Yutaka Osawa will retire in March 2025. No word on who might succeed Osawa as next CCO.
EnSafe, an environmental and engineering consulting firm, has hired Geoff Pope as compliance director. Pope comes to the Tennessee-based firm from Rentokil Terminix (the pest control people), where he was an environmental program manager for the last two years.
Beal Bank, a community bank based in suburban Dallas, has hired Vanessa Garcia as compliance officer. Garcia previously worked at La Nacional, a money services business, as director of compliance.
Lou Schroeter has a new job at Boehringer Ingelheim as associate director of contract compliance. Schroeter comes to the pharmaceuticals firm from Bayer, where most recently he had been director of order-to-bill activities.
Shyam Dhanuka has moved into a new role at Microsoft, going from worldwide compliance lead for customer experience to worldwide compliance lead for global partner solutions.
Arnold Clark, one of the largest independent auto dealerships in Europe, has hired Lara Hoban as compliance officer. Hoban joins the company (headquartered in Scotland) after six years at MoneyBarn, a British auto financing outfit, where she had been compliance monitoring officer.
Michael DeHoyos has joined Frost, the financial services firm based in San Antonio, as compliance training manager. DeHoyos previously worked in a similar role at USAA until the start of this year.
Electronics manufacturer Amphenol has hired Jackie Pascoe as an internal audit manager. She comes to the firm from BDO, where she had been a manager in its risk advisory practice.
Angelina Fadorsen has joined Ferrero, the Italian confectionery behind Nutella, Tic Tacs, and numerous other candies that make life worth living, as assistant manager for internal audit. Fadorsen previously worked at audit and consulting firm Baker Tilly as a manager in its internal audit practice.
And AI software maker Anthropic has hired Nathan Palmore in the mysteriously vague role of “compliance.” Palmore previously worked at Slack for five years in the much more defined role of senior risk and compliance engineer.
Promotions
AbbVie has promoted Courtney McMorrow from associate director of business compliance to corporate counsel. Sad that she no longer has “compliance” in her title, but we wish her well on her climb up the career ladder nonetheless.
BMO (that’s the Bank of Montreal to those in the know) has promoted Dulce Marafona from business process consultant to compliance officer.
Collins Aerospace has promoted Amy Cossio from associate director of compliance to director.
DNB, one of the largest banks in Norway, has promoted Cecilile Lille from head of group risk management to head of group operational risk.
Ellsworth Adhesives has promoted Jacqueline Meyer from director of compliance and risk management to vice president of compliance and risk management.
UK Tote Group, operating of betting parlors for horse racing, has promoted Alex Heggarty from regulatory compliance apprentice to compliance officer.
Vendors and Service Providers
Ethiciti, a new compliance training vendor, has gone live with its first product: an AI-driven training system with a library of 500 courses.
We have a new training vendor on the internal audit side, too: the Internal Audit Collective, which offers more personalized training to help audit professionals improve their SOX compliance and internal audit expertise.
