Our last Compliance Jobs Report of 2024 still has lots of news! This week there’s a changing of the internal audit guard at FedEx, plus several CCOs moving on to be general counsels elsewhere. We have news from TikTok, TD Bank, Serco, Box, Carelon, and many more. Job leads are in construction, charitable foundations, and robotics; plus our Meme of the Week!

Compliance Jobs
This week we begin with a farewell at FedEx, where chief audit executive Robert King has announced that he will retire at the end of January. King has been CAE at FedEx since 2011, and has worked at the company in one role or another since 1981! Succeeding King is Jamie Meziere, another long-time FedEx employee; most recently she had been VP of internal audit for international operations, and she has worked in other audit roles there since 2003.
Matt Penarczyk, one of the top compliance executives at TikTok, has left the social media company to be general counsel of Disney Experiences, the part of Disney that runs its theme parks, cruise lines, and other vacation experiences. Penarczyk had been global head of corporate compliance and business solutions at TikTok, and had a long history at Microsoft before that.
And another CCO exit: Caroline Hensley has left her job as chief compliance officer at Seres Therapeutics to join Xilio Therapeutics as chief legal officer. Hensley had been with Seres since 2016; no word yet on who might succeed her there as CCO.
Another week, another compliance or integrity hire at TD Bank; this time, TD has hired Erwin Araño as manager of the global controls office for SOX compliance. Araño comes to TD after five years at Group SJR, part of the WPP advertising empire; he had been director of global SOX compliance.
Binance continues its compliance hiring spree, too; the crypto platform has hired Daniel Kor in Singapore to work on compliance systems and controls. Kor was previously a business analyst at SymphonyAI.
Box, the online file storage business, has hired Elizabeth Coleman as senior compliance manager. Coleman comes to the firm from GitLab, where she had been a security compliance manager.
Over in Italy, transportation and logistics firm Contship Italia has hired Martina Pivetti as compliance and legal affairs director. Pivetta coms to the firm after four years at Natura & Co., where she was a senior manager for compliance and legal issues in Europe.
SWBC, a financial services company based in San Antonio, has hired Sydney Weaver as chief audit executive. Weaver comes to the firm from American National Insurance Co., where she had been assistant vice president of internal audit.
In Jacksonville, Fla., Ingrid Nickolaus has joined MKS Instruments as senior director of ethics and compliance. Nickolaus previously worked at the coolly named Cyxtera Technologies for two years as global ethics and compliance manager.
Littelfuse, a global manufacturer of industrial equipment, has hired Nikko Ordoñez as export compliance supervisor. Ordoñez joins the Chicago-based company after eight years at Costco, most recently as supervisor of trade and customs compliance.
In London, logistics firm Deugro Group has hired Jack Prentice as ethics and compliance manager. Prentice joins Deurgo after five years at IAG Cargo, where he most recently was business compliance executive.
Tangency Capital, an investment firm that focuses on reinsurance, has hired Melinda Scott as chief compliance officer. Scott comes to Tangency from Ergoteles Capital, where she had been chief compliance officer.
Kurt Perhach has joined West Pharmaceutical Services as deputy compliance officer and senior counsel. Perhach had been doing some solo compliance consulting for the last few months; prior to that he was at Celltrion USA as director of compliance.
Tokinvest, a crypto investment business based in Dubai, has hired Mike Mingee as chief compliance officer. Mignee previously worked at Coinbase as head of emerging markets compliance until earlier this year.
IT service giant Serco has hired Joseph Cox as vice president of internal audit. Cox comes to the firm from the Fincantieri Marine Group, where he had been director of compliance and internal audit since 2022.
Neal Treanor has joined Grayscale Investments, a crypto investment fund, as head of distribution compliance. Treanor was last seen at 1251 Capital Group, where he had been deputy chief compliance officer until earlier this year.
Onita Brown has joined myPlace Health, an assisted living business based in Los Angeles, as compliance policy specialist. Brown comes to the firm after four years at WelbeHealth, where she most recently was a quality improvement specialist.
Carelon, an Indiana-based company that supplies IT and data services to the healthcare industry, has hired Pritika Dhingra as compliance lead in its India operations. Dhingra previously worked at the Xander Group, a financial services firm, as a compliance executive.
In Saudi Arabia, construction firm Nesma & Partners has hired Mariam Alkhamis as compliance and integrity officer. Alkhamis comes to the firm from Nextcare, an insurance services provider based in Dubai, where she had been compliance officer.
Customers Bank, a retail bank with operations sprinkled across the Northeast and a few other states, has tapped Michael Troccia as acting chief AML compliance officer. Troccia was last seen at Capital One, where he had been a lead AML compliance adviser in the commercial banking operations.
And FIS has hired James Webster as a level 1 compliance analyst. Webster previously worked as a teacher, most recently as a special education paraprofessional for Fulton County, Georgia. Welcome to the profession, James.
Moving Up the Ladder
Bank of Hawaii has promoted Kyle Bergeron from collections associate to compliance officer.
Recovery Centers of America has promoted Jean Kelly from privacy officer to vice president for compliance.
Milestones
David Asante is celebrating one year at University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he is a senior compliance auditor.
Stacy Hornaday is celebrating five years at AbbVie, where she is senior director of medical compliance excellence.
Vendors and Service Providers
Schellman & Co., an accounting and compliance advisory firm, has beefed up its offerings by acquiring the third-party risk management practice of Conor Consulting. This will allow Schellman to help clients with GRC issues, cybersecurity audits, and the like. Purchase price undisclosed, alas.
Open Req Orders
ABB, the Swiss electrical equipment giant, is looking for a head of business integrity for its robotics and “discrete automation” division. Job can be based in any of numerous ABB locations across Europe and Asia. No salary range included, but it looks like a challenging job in an emerging field.
Balfour Beatty Investments, part of the Balfour Beatty infrastructure and construction empire, is looking for a North America vice president of ethics and compliance. Job is based in suburban Philadelphia. No salary range listed, but you do get a $500 signing bonus.
Novo Nordisk Foundation, the charity wing of the Novo Nordisk empire, is looking for a compliance manager to join the organization’s new (launched last year) compliance program. Job is based in Copenhagen at Novo’s headquarters; no salary range listed.
