Compliance Jobs

This week we begin in Massachusetts: UMass Memorial Health, the teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Massachusetts, has hired Andrew Glosenger as chief compliance officer. Glosenger previously spent six years in various roles at Banner Health, most recently as director of corporate compliance. 

Zoe Bevers has joined First Citizens Bank as commercial lending compliance officer. Bevers comes to First Citizens from Bank of the Pacific, where she had been a small business loan portfolio specialist.

Raul Guillen has joined defense contractor Andruil Industries as export compliance analyst. Guillen comes to Andruil after 12 years at Northrop Grumman, where most recently he was senior principal global trade compliance analyst.

compliance jobsTextron just hired Cynthia Durkin as executive counsel, working on various elements of the $14 billion manufacturer’s compliance program. Durkin comes to Textron from Kohler Corp., where she had been vice president of compliance and ethics since 2019.

Marvell Technology has hired Katrin Shapovalova as data privacy program manager. Shapovalova comes to the large-ish tech company from Analog Devices, where she had been compliance program manager for three years. 

Boston-based Kailera Therapeutics has hired Shoshanna Clark as vice president of ethics and compliance. Clark comes to the company, which is developing obesity treatments, from Cerevel Therapeutics, where she had been chief compliance officer until last November. 

General Dynamics IT has hired Phaedra Staton as senior ethics manager. Staton previously worked at Freddie Mac for three years as ethics and compliance manager. 

Tylar Engar has been hired by Community Choice Financial Family of Brands, a financial services firm headquartered in suburban Dallas, as chief compliance officer. Engar previously worked at the Akerman law firm for three years as a partner.

Financial advisory firm Hoxton Wealth has hired Justin Burse as U.S. chief compliance officer. Burse comes to Hoxton from the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions, where he spent the previous four years as a deputy commissioner and then commissioner. 

Ashwini Agarwal has joined Stanley Black & Decker as head of ethics and compliance for India. Agarwal previously spent 20 years at Nokia, most recently as head of supplier anti-corruption in India.

Amazon Prime Video has hired Nora Unzurrunzaga as a senior associate for product compliance, trust, and safety, working from Amazon’s offices in Spain. Unzurrunzaga previously worked at TDCX, an outsourcing firm, as a product engagement specialist.

Brazilian online education platform Aprender Conectado has hired Camilla Cuschnir as senior compliance officer. Cuschnir comes to Aprender from the law firm BMA Advogados, where she had been a senior associate attorney working on compliance matters. 

Belvo, a financial data data startup in Brazil, has promoted Isabela Plá from GRC specialist to GRC manager. 

Shoeb Hajiyani has been hired by IHG Hotels & Resorts as global internal IT audit senior manager. Hajiyani, based in Atlanta, joins IHG from GE Veranova, where he most recently had been senior manager of technology audit.

Australian hearing aid manufacturer Cochlear has hired Sue de Broglio as vice president of global compliance. De Broglio had previously worked at BlueScope Steel in Australia as head of global ethics, compliance, and privacy. 

Another from Australia! Cenitex, an IT services firm there, has hired Kathryn Boucher as senior policy and compliance officer. Boucher joins the company from the Victoria Auditor General’s Office, where she most recently had been manager of parliamentary reports and services. 

Chuck Hoving has joined Nations Direct Mortgage as senior vice president of compliance. Hoving comes to the Tennessee-based firm from Steadfast Mortgage, where he had been chief compliance officer for the last year.

Eudia, an AI startup working in the legal field, has hired Zoila Mena Harpin as compliance officer. Harpin comes to the business from legal consulting firm Axiom Advice & Counsel, where she had been a partner since 2023.

Mariana Sánchez García has a new role within the beer-making giant AB InBev. García had been financial and tax controller for Grupo Modelo, one of AB InBev’s many subsidiaries; now she works for ABInBev as internal control director for the Middle America region (which is Mexico rather than, like, Iowa). 

And another from Mexico! Alejandra Macias has joined Christian Dior Couture as internal control director. Macias previously worked at Regal Springs for a year as senior group auditor.

In Dubai, video-game entertainment entertainment firm Momentum has hired Shafna Azlim as risk compliance officer. Azlim comes to Momentum from Emirates NBD, where she had been a compliance specialist.

McKesson has hired Rob Mendoza as senior compliance and ethics specialist. Mendoza joins the wholesale pharmaceutical giant from Bayada Home Healthcare, where he had been director of compliance. 

Carmen Burnard has joined Hy Cite, seller of various home goods, as a corporate compliance specialist. Burnard previously worked at TruStage as an assistant in the ethics, compliance and legal function there. 

Heritage Christian Services, a social services agency based in Rochester, N.Y., has hired Megan Antonitto as vice president of corporate compliance and risk management. Antonitto previously worked at Genesee Regional Bank for five years, most recently as vice president and risk management officer. 

And Swissquote, the Swiss online banking business, has hired Anna Lothoz as a compliance assistant in its investigations team. Lothoz previously just wrapped up her education at the Université de Fribourg. Welcome to the profession, Anna!

Moving Up the Ladder

Walmart has announced its new chief ethics and compliance officer: Elizabeth Collins, the retailer’s chief counsel for regulatory and specialty legal matters since she first arrived at Walmart in 2023. Collins succeeds Matt Miner, who left Walmart the other week to be general counsel of KPMG. Prior to Walmart, Collins also held senior legal roles at WWE, Caterpillar, and Boeing

Kraft Heinz has promoted Harbir Gill from senior manager for growth finance to internal controls lead for global business processes.

TCF Manufacturing, a maker of cannabis products, has promoted Audrey de Hoyos from order fulfillment specialist to assistant chief compliance officer. 

Optimize Wealth Partners, a wealth management firm in Toronto, has moved Matthew Tomasic from senior vice president for compliance to chief compliance officer. 

inDrive, an IT services firm based in Silicon Valley, has promoted Aigerim Ibraimova from senior compliance officer to compliance manager, working from inDrive’s operations center in Kazakhstan. 

Takeda has promoted Ashley Snipes from senior manager for clinical practice compliance to associate director of same. 

Pex, seller and manager of corporate payment cards, has promoted Brian Garcia from senior compliance manager to director of compliance. 

The Carson Group in Nebraska has promoted Noah Kingston from compliance analyst to senior compliance analyst.

KeyBank has promoted Kelly Fox from compliance officer to senior compliance manager. 

Höganäs, a Swedish manufacturer of metal powders, has promoted Jessica Holst from group trade compliance manager to group compliance manager. 

And Vertex Pharmaceuticals has promoted Kimberly Schrepfer from compliance senior manager to compliance associate director.

Vendors & Service Providers

White-shoe law firm Cravath Swaine & Moore has hired Nicole Argentieri, head of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Justice Department for much of the Biden Administration. She’ll be a partner in the firm’s investigations and regulatory enforcement practice.

Open Req Orders

Royal Caribbean Group is looking for an assistant vice president for governance, risk, and compliance. Job is based in Miramar, Fla. No salary range listed, but obviously you hold you for free cruises as part of the package.

Included Health is looking for a privacy compliance principal to join the company’s compliance, ethics, and privacy team. Job can be remote, with a salary range anywhere from $150,000 to $275,000 depending on exactly where you’re living.

Morgan Stanley is seeking a vice president for workplace and digital financial crimes risk. Job is based in Purchase, N.Y., with a base salary of $100,000 to $180,000. (But the job description makes it sound like well-qualified candidates could push that upper end higher.)
