Compliance Jobs

Samyra Porter has left Scout Motors, where she had been chief compliance and integrity officer since last year, to join Cox Enterprises’ automotive unit as senior corporate counsel. I hear that Scout will be recruiting a new CCO; for now Emily Frank is holding down the fort at Scout on an interim basis.

John Dalton has left Charles River Labs after seven years there, most recently as senior director of corporate compliance. Where next? Dalton has joined Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, a Boston-area biotech developing cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases, as senior director of privacy and risk management. Dalton dutifully switched over his newsletter subscription to his new email address, so we approve.

St. Louis-based Nidec Motors, manufacturer of motors for appliances and other commercial and industrial products, has hired Tate Mitchell as director of internal audit. Mitchell previously worked at Benson Hill, an agriculture business in Missouri, where he had also been director of internal audit.

Darrell Bartlett has joined Agora Dealer Services in Ontario as chief compliance officer. Bartlett previously worked at Integral Wealth Securities, a Toronto-based firm, as chief compliance officer.

Apple has hired Raymond Hong as global trade compliance program manager. Hong comes to Apple from Western Union, where he most recently had been senior lead for global trade controls.

Manufacturing giant Philips has hired Dominique Donovan as director of compliance risk, audit, and monitoring. Donovan joins Philips from consulting firm Ankura, where she had been managing director.

Amazon has hired Sergio Guth as financial review manager for Latin America. Guth comes to the e-tailer giant after eight years at ADM, where he most recently had been compliance manager for the food giant’s North America operations.

Tami Jakuboski has joined Greenlight Guru, a maker of software for the medtech industry, as compliance and program quality lead. Jakuboski comes to Greenlight from Coalfire, where she had been a senior internal auditor.

Reprise Financial has hired Dawn Goad as director of compliance. Goad comes to Reprise, which makes short-term personal loans to consumers, after two years at Momnt, where she was compliance program director.

Brittany Schwertberger has joined TradeXBank, a Swiss bank working in trade and commodity finance, as chief compliance officer. Schwertberger previously spent 11 years at Credit Suisse and then UBS in various compliance roles, most recently as executive director of compliance and operational risk at UBS.

Ninety One, an investment firm based in London with $163 billion in assets under management, has hired Nabeelah Sawant as a compliance manager, working from South Africa. Sawant comes to Ninety One after four years at Oceania Group Ltd., where most recently she had been risk and compliance manager.

Advertising giant WPP has hired Surya Sunil Kumar as a compliance and internal controls executive, working from WPP’s India offices. Kumar previously worked at Summit DigiTel, where she was assistant manager of compliance since 2023.

Kristen Godar has joined Hussmann, a maker of display cases for supermarkets, as IT audit and compliance manager. Godar previously worked at advisory firm Armanino as a senior manager for IT audit.

And First Commonwealth Bank, a community bank based in Indiana, Penn., has hired Michael Cirilli as chief compliance officer. Cirilli joins the bank after nine years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., where he had been a compliance examiner. (Good for him, getting out before Elon fires everyone.) He succeeds Linda Metzmaier, who was promoted to chief risk officer earlier this year.

Moving Up the Ladder

BECU, a credit union based in Seattle, has promoted Maricar Herradura from commercial and business services analyst to senior compliance administrator.

Swedish online gambling company Betsson Group has promoted Matthew Ward from lead technical compliance manager to head of technical compliance.

Enterprise Products has promoted Kelli Hyland from manager of internal audit to senior manager.

Gilead Sciences has promoted Jeffrey Wong from senior manager for transparency and global compliance operations to associate director of the same.

Jumeirah, a luxury hotel business in Dubai (stayed at their flagship property there years ago; very nice), has promoted Erwin Santos from associate director of compliance to director.

Oklahoma Complete Health has promoted Nicole Collins from director of compliance to compliance officer.

Pfizer has promoted Jillian Gillespie from director of business partner R&D compliance to senior director of medical affairs compliance.

Ramp Network, some crypto infrastructure business, has promoted Tiffany Armstrong from BSA compliance officer to head of U.S. compliance.

RTX Corp. has promoted Yan Tougas from director of ethics programs and culture to director of program operations for global ethics and compliance.

Renewable energy giant RWE has promoted Patricio Manzano from ethics and compliance manager to senior manager of compliance.

Virginia Credit Union just announced two notable promotions. Kenya Maddox will move up from vice president of internal audit to chief audit executive; and she is succeeding Mike Brunson, who is moving up from chief audit executive to chief risk officer. Both have worked at Virginia CU for many years in audit and risk assurance roles.

And Walmart has promoted Fernando Uresti from food and consumable coach to senior analyst in speciality compliance and ethics.

Vendors & Service Providers

Remember Michael Herde, chief compliance officer at Charles Schwab until he left that role last summer? Herde just turned up at FTI Consulting as a senior managing director in FTI’s forensic and litigation consulting practice.

Sherra Brown has left her job at Navy Federal Credit Union, where she had been monitoring and testing manager, to join Vixio Regulatory Intelligence as head of research and analysis for the Americas division.

Open Req Orders

Circana, a data analytics firm that focuses on consumer market research, is looking for a vice president of global ethics and compliance. The company is headquartered in Chicago but the job can be fully remote, with a listed salary range of $170,000 to $210,000.

KPMG is seeking a managing director for its corporate ethics and conduct oversight team (that is, KMPG’s own internal ethics and compliance team, not the advisory practice selling such services to clients). Job is based in Washington, D.C. Managing directors at KPMG typically make $440,000 or more in major metro markets, but I’m not 100 percent sure that range applies for an internal role like this one.

MaxHealth, a hospital and healthcare system in southern Florida, is looking for a chief compliance, ethics, and privacy officer. Job is based in Tampa, Fla., and since it’s Florida of course they don’t include a salary range. Sigh.
