Job leads are in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and more manufacturing; and Meme of the Week goes out to Justice Department declinations!

Compliance Jobs
This week we begin with Martina Leposa, who is stepping down from her job as chief compliance officer at CEVA Logistics. Leposa had been CCO there since 2022, and had been head of regulatory compliance at CEVA for a few years before that. What’s next? Leposa is joining Wenfren, a medical equipment manufacturer based in Spain, where she will be chief compliance officer.
Eli Lilly & Co. just picked up David King to be associate vice president for internal investigations and advanced analytics. King comes to the pharma giant after five years at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, where most recently he was head of U.S. compliance.
Laura McNamara has a new job as chief compliance and privacy officer for the University of Vermont Health Network. (“I love the cold and maple syrup!” she says, so she’s certainly in the right place.) McNamara previously spent five years as compliance and privacy officer at Stony Brook Medicine in upstate New York
Marie Bolton has joined real estate services firm JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle, to those of a certain age) as head of ethics and compliance for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Bolton comes to the firm after more than two decades at Willis Towers Watson, the last 12 of them as global compliance director for financial crime.
Avnet, a global distributor of electronic components, has hired Rebecca Tanita as a senior manager for global trade compliance. Tanita comes to Avent from Unical Aviation, where she had also been a senior manager for global trade compliance.
Jennifer O’Brian has deplaned from Collins Aerospace, where she had been a senior manager working on global trade compliance issues for a few years. Next up: O’Brian has joined Xylem, maker of water systems technology, as regional director of trade compliance. (Clearly this line of work is a growing field.)
Swiss infrastructure and construction business BKW has hired Arndt Harbecke as head of group compliance. Harbecke joins BWK from T-Systems Switzerland, an IT services firm, where he had been compliance officer and data privacy lead.
Rabobank just hired Nancy Xue as a senior compliance officer for its Australia operations. Xue, who is based in Sydney, previously worked at ING Australia as a senior manager in ING’s compliance advisory group.
Abraham Antanesyan has joined City National Bank as a compliance officer. Antanesyan comes to the Los Angeles-based bank from Pasadena Federal Credit Union, where he had been compliance and risk officer for the last year.
Cliniphai, a tech startup building AI agents to solve challenges in the life sciences sector, has hired Donna Wallace as chief compliance officer. Wallace was last seen at Egnyte, another AI startup, where she had been head of quality assurance until mid-2023.
Paul Caulfield has joined Insigneo, a global wealth firm based in Miami, as chief compliance officer. Caulfield comes to the firm from Ruddy & Gregory, a boutique law firm working on financial regulatory issues, where he had been a partner in the regulatory and cybersecurity practice.
In London, Bruno Silveira just joined Walgreens Boots Alliance as compliance and privacy director for international operations. Silveira comes to WBA after seven years at Kingfisher, a home improvement retailer, where he had been group compliance and privacy director.
CFSB, a provider of global payments solutions to the financial services world, has hired Michelle Del Grosso Bencivenga as vice president of financial crimes compliance systems and screening lead. Bencivenga previously worked at Deutsche Bank for four years, where most recently she had been in charge of sanctions and screening work.
David Kieru has joined Pratt & Whitney as a senior compliance manager. Kieru comes to the aircraft engine manufacturer after seven years at Corning, where most recently he had been plant quality manager for Corning’s advanced optics division.
Associated British Foods, a global manufacturer of, ya know, food, has hired Sam Emmerson as an internal audit manager. Emmerson comes to ABF (£20 billion in revenue,, 138,000 employees) from KPMG, where he had been an assistant manager in its audit practice.
Haley Garin just joined UnitedHealth Group as a senior internal audit analyst. Garin comes to UnitedHealth after a year as senior accountant at the Washburn Center for Children in Minnesota.
Mark Gale is retiring from Citibank, where he has been managing director for operational resilience and third-party risk since 2022. Gale has held other risk management positions at Citi since 2011, and has spent more than 40 years in the financial services industry overall. We wish him well.
And it wouldn’t be a Jobs Report without another hire at TD Bank, would it? The bank just hired Sherry Woodbine as a director of compliance and governance operations. Woodbine had been working at KPMG for the last year as a compliance and risk management adviser.
Moving Up the Ladder
Alaska Air Group, parent company of Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and a few other businesses, just made a few promotions of note. First, Allie Wittenberger has moved up from managing director of corporate affairs and compliance to vice president of audit programs. Second, Brooke Vatheuer has been promoted from chief audit executive to senior vice president of safety and audit programs (so essentially, she’s now in charge of both internal audit and safety).
Atlantic Union Bank, a community bank in Virginia, has promoted Brad Haun from chief audit executive to chief risk officer. Haun has been with the bank since 2011; he succeeds Sherry Williams, who is retiring this spring.
First Citizens Bank has promoted Shari Evans from corporate compliance officer to compliance manager.
Vigor Corp., builder of tugboats, ferries, fireboats, and the like, has promoted Erin Ribacchi from senior internal auditor to compliance enterprise risk manager and internal audit supervisor.
Macquarie Group has three promotions to note! First, Dan Fink has moved up from senior manager for risk surveillance to associate director of the same. Nicholas Capoccia has been promoted from senior manager for commodities and global markets compliance to associate director. And Louis Seah has gone from vice president of compliance for Macquarie Asset Management in Asia to senior vice president.
Wesco has promoted Rebecca Maione from senior internal auditor to supervisor of internal audit.
CNOOC International, the overseas subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp., has promoted MaryAnn Boyd from senior internal controls analyst to team lead for internal audit and controls. She works in Alberta in the oil sands fields there.
And Swiss wealth management firm Julius Baer has promoted Nina Salzmann-Epper from head of “front risk management” (read: first line of defense) to head of central compliance.
Vendors & Service Providers
Cherry Hill Advisory, a small accounting and audit advisory shop based in New Jersey, just picked up Howard Silverman as chief audit executive for the firm’s risk advisory practice. Silverman is a veteran internal audit leader, with stints at Wendys and Houghton Mifflin plus various roles at the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Open Req Orders
Danish pharmaceutical giant Lundbeck is hiring a “head of ethics and compliance office.” From the job description, it sounds like you’d be senior operations officer for the chief ethics and compliance officer, helping to put compliance plans into motion. Job is based in Copenhagen, which is a lovely city. No salary range disclosed.
Spellman High Voltage Electronics is looking for a head of internal audit, someone to establish the company’s newly formed internal audit team. Job is based in Hauppauge, N.Y. (that’s Long Island)., with a reasonable but oddly specific salary range of $172,000 to $213,000.
Grainger is hiring a senior corporate counsel for compliance and investigations. Job is based in Chicago, with a salary range of $143,000 to $238,000.
