Fidelity National Financial, a provider of title insurance, has hired Gregg Sofer as chief compliance officer and deputy chief legal officer. (The company put the legal officer part of his title first, but compliance always comes first here at the Compliance Jobs Report.) Sofer comes to FNF from law firm Husch Blackwell, where he had been a partner since 2021; prior to that he spent many years as a federal prosecutor in the Western District of Texas. Sofer succeeds Paul Perez, who is retiring.

Sunil Jacob has a new job working for TE Connectivity in India as responsible sourcing senior leader. Jacob previously spent 18 years at Walmart in its India operations in various ethics and compliance roles, most recently as director of responsible sourcing for human rights and the environment.
Another update from Family Dollar, which earlier this year separated from parent company Dollar Tree and now the compliance teams are separating into two. Anyway, Chris Carawan is manager of reporting and analytics for ethics and compliance at Family Dollar. He previously had been a data analyst at Dollar Tree.

And Simba Gwenhamo has joined Ultra Clean Technology as director of IT audit and compliance. Gwenhamo comes to the company after 16 years at PwC, most recently as director of digital assurance and transparency. Now, if a company only made technology to clean my kids’ rooms…
Moving Up the Ladder
This week’s promotion news begins with Albemarle — which, you might recall, advertised earlier this summer for a new chief ethics and compliance officer. Well, plans changed. The company just promoted Ander Krupa from deputy general counsel to GC and chief compliance officer. Krupa has been with Albemarle in various legal roles since 2017, and had been acting as interim GC since April. He succeeds Stacy Grant, who had also been general counsel and CCO but passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.
Online shopping platform Klarna has given Joe Arnold a battlefield promotion from group data protection officer to acting chief compliance officer.

OLG, the government agency in Ontario that operates online lotteries and other gambling entertainment, has promoted Issakha Dia from director of internal audit to senior director.
PayPal has promoted Michelle Vignaroli from third-party risk assessor to senior analyst for third-party risk management oversight.
Philips has promoted Nancy Mogge from senior compliance manager to business compliance officer for enterprise informatics.
Vendors & Service Providers
The National Society of Compliance Professionals, a trade association for compliance officers specifically in the financial services world, has announced that executive director Lisa Crossley will step down at the end of 2025 after a decade in charge. Succeeding her will be Melissa Loner, who has been deputy executive director since last year.
Speaking of compliance trade associations, this does make me wonder when the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association might have news about their search for a new CEO. SCCE is holding its annual conference in Nashville next month, perhaps we’ll hear something then. Hmmm…
