Compliance Jobs
This week we begin with Ellen Hunt, compliance professional extraordinaire and widely known as a delightful person. Hunt just landed at real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, where she is vice president of global ethics and compliance. Hunt comes to the firm after not quite four years at Spark Compliance Consulting, which was recently acquired by Diligent; earlier in her career she held senior compliance roles at LifePoint Health and at AARP.
Skincare giant Galderma has hired Kathryn Harris as head of U.S. compliance. Harris joins Galderma from Emergent BioSolutions, where she had been senior director of global compliance since 2022.
American Express has hired Kristen Mascio as deputy chief compliance officer. Mascio comes to Amex after almost four years at Wells Fargo, where she had been head of consumer lending compliance.
Paige Ryan is joining BeOne Medicines, a biotech startup based in Cambridge, Mass.; she’ll be associate director of compliance. Ryan previously worked at Pfizer as associate director of compliance after Pfizer scooped up Seagen, where she had worked for six years.
 Two new hires at Truist for its audit team! First, Kim Wennemer has joined the bank as senior audit director for the bank’s wealth and advisory division. Wennemer previously worked at City National Bank as director of audit for its wealth management operations. Second, Ruchita Contractor has been hired as an audit manager for operational risk; she previously worked at Deloitte for several years as a senior consultant.

Adam Hamm has been hired by insurance firm Zurich North America as chief compliance officer. Hamm had previously been at Allianz Commercial as chief compliance officer for North America.
Recruitment firm Bruin has hired Josh Brown as vice president of internal audit for financial services. Brown comes to the London-based firm after 10 years at Paritas Recruitment, another London-based recruitment firm, where he had been director of internal audit, IT audit, and data analytics.
Kathleen Parker has a new gig as vice president of investment compliance at Deutsche Bank. Parker comes to Deutsche Bank after not-quite one year at TD as director of investment banking and capital markets compliance.
Swivel Transactions, a financial technology company, has hired Taylor Barner as director of compliance and risk governance. Barner previously worked at Facebook Meta for six years in global process and operations.
Jamco, a cross-border logistics firm based in Laredo, Texas, has hired Karla Guerra as director of U.S. trade compliance. Guerra comes to Jamco after 19 years at Expeditors, where she most recently was brokerage operations manager.
Andrew Hutsell has joined Grail, a biotech startup working on cancer detection treatments, as GRC director. Hutsell comes to the Silicon Valley firm from KDInfotech, where he had been a senior compliance auditor for the last year.
Circle Logistics has hired Vince Turri as a compliance manager, scooping him up from previous employer Ascent Global Logistics, where he had been director of operations, safety, and recruiting.
Inovaare Corp., an AI-driven healthcare software startup, has hired Amy Cornett as vice president of compliance. The Texas-based Cornett previously worked at Baylor Scott & White Health Plan for nine years, the last two of them as vice president of compliance.
OneStream Software, which sells business management software to corporate customers, has hired Christie King as director of SOX compliance. King previously worked at KPMG for 12 years as a director in the firm’s internal audit practice.
Well that’s aces: Dan Birks has been hired by Las Vegas Sands Corp. as director of digital compliance. Birks had spent the prior nine years at Bet365, most recently as deputy head of compliance.
Humana has hired Kristen VanWoert as compliance lead. VanWoert comes to Humana after six years at Molina Healthcare, where she had been director of compliance for external audits.
RBC Bank has hired Nick Adams as senior business controls compliance manager. Adams comes to RBC (which is the U.S. subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada) from UBS, where he had been head of KYC reviews.
And Emirates NBD, one of the largest banking groups in the Middle East, has named Khaled el-Hamzawy senior compliance manager for sanctions. El-Hamzawy joins the bank after seven years at Attijariwafa Bank in Egypt, where most recently he had also been sanctions manager.
Moving Up the Ladder
Bradford Hammock has been promoted to chief ethics and compliance officer at Family Dollar. Hammock has been with the discount retailer since 2022 in several health and safety roles. His promotion comes as Family Dollar split from its sister company Dollar Tree Stores earlier this year.
WeWork has promoted Lauren Lee from director of global investigations and privacy to senior director and head of global investigations, regulatory, and compliance for the Americas.
Owen Waggy has a new role at Truist, as senior vice president and head of compliance risk assessments and third-party compliance. Waggy had previously been director of regulatory programs and compliance functions at the bank.
Kyriba, a financial software firm that promises it will help CFOs “transform how you use liquidity as a dynamic vehicle for growth,” has promoted Kristin Tuttle from vice president of legal, compliance, and ethics to chief compliance officer.
Hoist a glass: Heineken has promoted Crina Stanciu from global audit senior manager to head of global corporate audit.
Abbott has promoted Akram Jebril from ethics and compliance manager in Saudi Arabia to senior manager, for both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Alexion Pharmaceuticals has promoted Katherine Dyson to be head of U.S. compliance. Dyson has worked in various roles at Alexion since 2020, and previously was head of assurance there.
dLocal, a cross-border payments firm working in emerging markets, has promoted Pablo Gil from vice president of financial transformation to vice president of internal audit.
IAG, one of the largest insurance businesses in Australia and New Zealand, has promoted Derek Zaboklicki from compliance frameworks principal to manager of compliance oversight and frameworks.
Raven McClain has been promoted from senior compliance operations analyst to compliance manager at AmeriHealth Caritas.
Canada Life has promoted Lize Fourie from compliance manager to director of risk and compliance.
Rolls-Royce has promoted Robert Wray from ethics and compliance counsel to head of corporate ethics and compliance.
Osaic Institutions, a wealth management firm headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., has promoted Dori Hammond from vice president of compliance testing to chief compliance officer.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. has promoted Marta Landers from compliance specialist to compliance manager.
Erin Durkee has a new role at Prudential, moving from manager of marketing compliance for annuities and individual life insurance to compliance manager for global insurance and retirement.
And David’s Bridal has promised Bridget Velez from HR compliance manager to senior ethics and compliance manager.
Vendors & Service Providers
SAI360 has acquired Lawcode, a German compliance vendor known in Europe for its hotline system Hintbox. Apparently the plan is to bring Hintbox’s next-generation features to U.S. customers of SAI360.
Matt Silverman has left Caterpillar, where he had been assistant general counsel for trade compliance since last year, to join Amalie Trade Compliance Consulting as vice president of trade advisory.
Open Req Orders
Burberry, maker of luxury plaid handbags and apparel, is hiring a senior manager of financial compliance. Job is based in Leeds, England. No salary range provided. We assume you must like plaid.
The Nature Conservancy is looking for an ethics and compliance director. Job can be remote, although the Conservancy is headquartered in Arlington, Va. Salary range is $97,000 to $154,000.
And we noticed this week that consulting giant McKinsey, fresh off a major FCPA settlement last year (and assorted other scandals), is hiring for a whole bunch of ethics and compliance roles — 18, last time we checked; in a variety of locations around the United States and the world.
