Milestones
Michael Moody will be retiring as chief audit executive of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this coming October. Moody has been chief auditor at MIT since 2014 and worked in higher education audit roles since 1999. The school says it will conduct a formal search for Moody’s successor and hopes to have someone in place by the fall.
We’re sorry to hear that Brian Barnier, a long-time consultant and thinker in the GRC world and a fellow at the Open Compliance & Ethics Group, who was diagnosed with ALS several years ago, has recently entered hospice care. We wish him and his loved ones well; anyone who wants to say hello can reach him through a recent message on LinkedIn.
Open Req Orders
Crunchyroll, a video streaming platform for anime enthusiasts, is seeking a senior director of global compliance. Job is based in New York City, with a salary range of $250,000 to $270,000. Must have active bar membership in New York or California.
The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee is looking for a senior director of internal audit (who will report into the organization’s chief ethics and compliance officer, an arrangement sure to leave some internal audit enthusiasts muttering to themselves). Job is based in Colorado Springs, Colo., with a salary range of $136,000 to $173,000. The USOPC also promises “opportunities to support Team USA domestically and internationally at various Games experiences,” which I hope is lawyer-speak for “tickets to the 2028 Olympics.”
The Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla., is looking for a chief compliance officer. Ten years’ experience in healthcare compliance required, and CHC certification preferred. No salary range disclosed because, sigh, Florida.
