Compliance Jobs Report: June 20

This week the Compliance Jobs Report has new hires at T-Mobile, United Airlines, Solventum, Ericsson, Citibank, and many more. We also have promotions at Fannie Mae, Walmart, iRobot, and elsewhere; plus job leads in electric vehicles, nuclear power, and industrial equipment. Meme of the Week goes out to AI productivity gains!

Compliance Jobs

This week we start at Citibank, which has hired Imir Arifi as head of generative AI model compliance review — a job of the compliance future if ever there was one. Arifi comes to Citi from Accenture, where he had been a principal director working on responsible AI issues for the banking sector.

Denis Jacob has a new job as ethics and compliance leader for the Americas region at Solventum, a manufacturer of medical and dental equipment. Jacob previously worked at Henry Schein for a year as ethics and compliance officer in the company’s orthopedics division.

Sarah DiLorenzo has joined Sabre Corp. as vice president of compliance. DiLorenzo comes to the travel technology company after four years at Twilio, where she had been vice president of ethics, compliance, and risk management. No word yet who might fill that role at Twilio next.

Rental housing giant Greystar has hired Kate McNee as senior director of global supplier compliance. McNee comes to the South Carolina-based firm from Facebook Meta, where she had been compliance program lead since 2021.

Aledade, a network of primary care doctors across the United States, has hired Adam Barker as director of compliance. Barker comes to the company from Innovation Care Partners, where he had been compliance and privacy officer.

Jodi Huckabee has joined Scotiabank as head of U.S. compliance. Huckabee comes to the Canadian banking giant after 15 years at Barclays, where she had been head of banking and research compliance and conflict management.

Homebuilding giant Lennar Corp. just hired Daryl Hykel as senior manager for GRC. Hykel comes to Lennar after three years at KPMG, where he most recently was manager of cybersecurity assessments in the firm’s federal contracting practice.

Barbara Petitti has a new job at Ericsson as compliance counsel. Petitti comes to the telecom giant after 12 years at Alstom, where she most recently had been director of ethics and compliance training, communications, and culture.

Paul Jaquez just landed at United Airlines as global ethics and compliance counsel. Jaquez comes to United after six years at Walgreens Boots Alliance in various roles, most recently as managing global compliance counsel.

And another in the airline industry! Southwest Airlines has hired Stacey Iadevito as senior GRC manager. Iadevito previously worked at car rental giant Enterprise Holdings in various roles, most recently as IT manager for regulatory compliance and franchisee risk.

Remember Lindsey Casey, compliance pro at Amazon.com who left the firm a few weeks ago after 10 years there? Just resurfaced at T-Mobile as senior compliance manager for anti-corruption.

Needham Bank, a community bank in suburban Boston, has hired Colleen Lynch as chief compliance officer. Lynch comes to the bank from BlueSnap, an online payments firm, where she had been vice president of global compliance.

David Cutri has left his job as chief audit and compliance executive at the University of Toledo after 16 years there. Cutri has decamped to Bowling Green State University, where he is senior associate athletic director for finance and strategy.

HFD, a rather cryptically named payments business in the healthcare sector, has hired Braunwin Friesen as compliance and oversight director. Friesen previously worked at InBank as chief compliance officer from 2018 until last year.

Syeda Zahan has joined ConnectOne Bank in New Jersey as vice president and compliance monitoring team lead. Zahan previously worked at First National Bank for five years, most recently as vice president and compliance officer.

Brown Advisory, an investment management firm based in Maryland, has hired Ania Charles as compliance officer. Charles comes to the firm after three years at WSM Partners, another investment management firm, where she had also been compliance officer.

AMR Action Fund, a venture capital fund working on antibiotics and antifungals (to prevent “The Last of Us” from really happening, one assumes), has hired Dorothy Maloney as compliance officer. Maloney comes to AMR from Morgan Stanley, where she had been vice president of legal and compliance since 2022.

Jimmy Schaaf has turned up at City National Bank as audit director, working on regulatory compliance issues. Schaaf was last seen at JPMorgan Chase, where he had also been an audit director until late last year.

Derya White has turned up at Insight Global, a staffing and recruiting company headquartered in Atlanta. White previously worked at McKesson for seven years as compliance manager.

And Kayla Murphree has been hired by Community National Bank & Trust of Texas as senior internal audit officer. Murphree was previously a senior financial accountant at CapTex Bank for seven years.

Moving Up the Ladder

Suzanne Libby has been promoted at Fannie Mae, from vice president of ethics and investigations to chief ethics officer. I presume this means Libby is the successor to Nancy Jardini, Fannie Mae’s long-time chief ethics and compliance officer until she and numerous other Fannie Mae executives were sent packing in April as part of a DOGE housecleaning. Fannie Mae is also now hiring for an ethics program manager

Walmart has promoted Matthew Driscoll to be deputy chief ethics and compliance officer at Flipkart, the retail giant’s e-commerce subsidiary in India. Driscoll had been a group director in Walmart’s U.S. operations.

Stefan Botes has a new role at Walmart too, moving from senior director for operations compliance in the U.S. supply chain to senior director of ethics and compliance for the north business unit. (What that unit encompasses, I don’t know.)

Citibank has promoted Andres Abreu-Martinez from vice president and operational risk senior manager to senior vice president for compliance risk and controls.

Ashley Trout has been promoted at UHS from director of IT audit and analytics to corporate director of internal audit.

Worldpay has promoted Shawna Sullivan from senior compliance officer to senior compliance manager.

Cotiviti has promoted Amanda Davis from information governance manager to enterprise risk management program manager.

iRobot has promoted Paul Glowacki from senior manager for product regulatory compliance to director of the same.

Insurance underwriter Ryan Speciality has promoted Kyle Bada from assistant vice president of carrier controls and compliance to VP and global head of the same.

And Bell Flight has promoted Haley Copeland from HR compliance analyst to global ethics and compliance analyst.

Vendors and Service Providers

Jeffrey Schwartz has left Honeywell, where he had been general counsel for compliance diligence and assurance; to join law firm Jacobson Burton Kelley in Washington. He’s of counsel there.

Open Req Orders

Textron is looking for an ethics and compliance manager. Job is based in Providence, R.I. No salary listed, but they do have an on-site fitness center. CCEP or some similar professional compliance certification “preferred but not required.”

The Nuclear Co. is hiring for several compliance roles, including director of policies and training, manager of export compliance, and manager of compliance and risk. Kristin Auld, deputy general counsel at Nuclear, has all the details

Scout Motors is looking for a chief integrity and compliance officer. Job will be located in the company’s future headquarters in Kentucky, although Scout is right now based in South Carolina. Salary range is $190,000 to $220,000.
